I watched
as he created,
his inked scalpel
swift, each movement
a delicate dissection
of ugliness,
scarring the canvas
with profane literacy,
and yet, as he stitched
the colors together,
the "moaning Lisa"
was born,
breathing life
from a vision.

Studying the colors
together
looking into life head on

searching for a meaning
to the random thoughts
amazing how the brain sees
what the heart can't wrap around
or maybe self-protection comes in strange forms

blending, shaping, spooning
beautiful shades of teal, ice...aquamarine
speak of days to come
calm placid waters
light breezes
sunshine

On a serious note, if I can catch my breath!!

A Man of passion and desire
to loved by another
for his true self
never asking for the covers
would rather lay there freeze'n
then to disturb her while she's sleep'n
A gentle heart

May bliss walk through your doors and claim you as hers!!!.......

In that moment, lying beside you,
propped up on one elbow,
gently brush the hair from your eyes,
because your eyes are so beautiful, I don't want to miss a single lash,
I trace your features with my fingertip,
running over your brow,
until I meet your tender, luscious lips
as I trace the outline of each,
longing, as we talk, to lean in
and kiss you, just because I can,
and because I desire you.
I know we won't always have these moments,
but let's treasure each one while
we have them...
together...
united...
our moment....
to LOVE!

thank you Hammy! I hope you will grace these pages more often...love is all we have, the more that is spread, the more beautiful we make our environment.

I came online to find inspiration and write. I stayed on your 'moaning Lisa' piece so long, reading it over and over, I nearly forgot to prepare something to leave with this note. This write is perhaps the best of what I've read of your words. Yes, I see the artist you saw but it tugs at me to read it much darker than that. It pushes me to look into myself and wonder 'Where did that come from?' I've now read this at least a half-dozen times and I know I will scroll back and read it again. You got my attention today!

Starring us
More than champagne
Will be sparkling tonight
Sheer drop from flirty eyelashes
Into double-layered airspin depths
I follow
Course changes
Windows to your soul
Connection intense
Captured in mystery
Suspense hook
Where next, where next
Yes, let’s go
Second act
Passionate interplay
This space our playground
Traveling far tonight
Soft whispers
“Take me with you”
Near my ear
“Can’t go without you”
Center stage
Deeply engaging
Engaging depths
Moonlight scrawls approval
Of Dance Appreciation 101
Grand finale
Exhaustion envelopes
Impossibly romantic
Awe and wonder
Safe in your space
Claimed as mine
In that moment
Lying beside you

Safe!
in that space,
our womb
of fetal repose,
stripped of phobias,
naked souls
dance,
floating bodies
of infancy,
languishing that depth
of penetrating intellect,
raw lust of cloaked
mystery,
searching for a shroud,
the rosetta key
to unlock
the final
chapter.

Go into the world
mere mortal,
let not your humaness
be your excuse for failure,
judge not what others
do, or don't do,
rather, look in the mirror
and be proud
of who you are,
what you have become,
what you have achieved,
stand tall against adversity,
for this will be
your finest moment,
cherish it, embrace it
as you would a child,
for you are
that
child!

Abject spirit
searches through the
mines of darkness,
confined to
interdimensional singularity,
as platitudes abound
like cave drawings,
hieroglyphics
lost in translation,
and in a moment,
a glance, I saw her,
the golden fleece
of my resurrection.

there have been dreams
chiseled into nights so
hot they scalded the
sheets twisted around
between my legs
inside my mouth like

poems to Zeus
scrawled with ache
shaded with promise-
screams to heavens honoring
the One who visited
with sweaty echoes
petroglyphed into
memories, traditions

of skins made molten and
roiling, steam and
feathers caught in fingerprints
brushed inside eyelids closed
and hoping the saga of Him
in me with ancient skill
never ends.

.. *wink* ..

Thought once that
I’d found the Kiss of Kali
Wanted to believe it was a metaphor
For the depths in his eyes
But it wasn’t burned upon his heart.

‘Will you walk into my parlor?’
But the Force was with him.
A dark chapter.

It was a five-thousand year old riddle
Gage his quest
Combat challenged
But Athena won
The Fly morphed and would not be consumed
Puzzles, Puzzles
Find the key
Lost in the translation
Of compatibility

Expat!....lovely write. Love the word play, the flow, the puzzle.....thought process!

The key....
unfortunately
guarded

lord of the
morphed flies

in disguise,
transcriber
of the key,

protector of
compatability,

summoner of
the sirens,

repel the quest,

and then

there was

one!

for a conference...
casinos?
recreation?
no...
re-creation
in midst of
high dessert

bathed in dawn

I watch you, transfixed
by the beauty of you,
gliding, as if
on air.

Your smell, intoxicating
my passages, lusting
your touch, the feel of you
In my embrace.

I long your softness,
tender skin and smile,
all the while,
Dreaming your return.
