| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/4/2008 9:31:30 PM | I stand corrected....the word "fictionary" is NOT my invention....seems it was the name of the game "Balderdash"
It is also the name of a "fake" dictionary....I should have googled it first. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/5/2008 8:34:45 AM | hiya Hammy!
Tea and crumpets I am familiar with, travels to England, back in the day.
Such wonderful memories of my life there, castles and moats drawbridges to boot!
Sunday carboots, flea markets to us, quaint villages from yesterdays past.
Old Roman foot bridges still intact, jousting shows just for fun.
alas! I remember it well!

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/5/2008 10:20:58 PM | Self imposed exile, abandoned spirit, separated chambers of mental absence, lost in a void of nothingness, unavoidable clash of titanic swords, his finest hour of darkness now his victory, severing the head of the serpent of pain, he claims his spirit, raises it high in the air, claiming ownership! | |
|
| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/5/2008 10:39:18 PM | Locked in a memory, invisible bars constricting life, squeezing, vice like, suffocating my escape, turning inward I found the key, and unlocked my soul, never to be confined again. | |
|
| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/5/2008 10:53:50 PM | Someone's been in a pLaYfUl mOoD

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/6/2008 7:25:39 AM | Blackened eyes, in a blacker night, perched atop the lonely bridge
and the river runs cold.
white tombstone visions the final chapter, from the track marked reality,
and the river runs.
and, in that desperate moment, did anyone hear? did anyone care?
brought this home from J's thread.
A moment, a silence, and the bridge is alone with it's secrets
and the river cries!
brought this home from J's thread.

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/6/2008 6:15:45 PM | ^^ very nice
and the river cries tears silently flowing caught up in eddies created by undercurrents they swirl drawn down to the briny deep to the darker places no-one sees no-one knows no-one cares eyes drawn only to the bright reflection of a sky that merely lights the way

The whole scene plays out Rocky beach Hidden lagoon Palm trees fringing the golden orange of sunset All splashed on the mind’s eye Add a waterfall, why not? And a veil dancer Full of movement and laughter and grace How about a hero too? Someone to dance for today Some images have a destiny Some are to treasure for what they are

and the sun turned yellow, grinning from ear to ear, while the moon goddess blushed, turning crimson red, emitting erotic beams.

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/10/2008 4:34:08 AM | Plunder the moon, raping the beams of harvest, leaving the goddess naked, alone with darkness, and bittersweet memories of innocence. | |

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/10/2008 7:56:38 AM | How could I resist the plight of your moon goddess, Mandrake? How could I resist the wordplay possibilities . . . ? Your sweet moon goddess has tugged at my heart.
Wrapping herself In bittersweet memories Of Fredrick’s-Red Satin and lace Awaiting Knight’s blade Virile and skilled Another bold opening Through fabric and flesh Unveiling, exposing Radiant incandescence Opening her fully To his consideration Heartbeams of gold To be guarded, a treasure Or common booty Worthy only of plunder Wrapped up in red Longing to rise To unveil and to dance To brighten the night

Do we stay here and tangle, Nibbling tropical fruits and each other? Lounge in a hammock, peacefully pondering, Whisper-soft breezes cooling our siesta? Sit with the neighbors, creatively loafing, Doing nothing in general, just ‘cuz we can? Or carry boards out to the surf so you can laugh As a few tons of salt water swallow me under? Walk cobble-stone streets to see what can be seen? No obligations. No place to be. Illicit cravings of jungle-heat passions Afloat near the shore where promises linger Incredulous magical memories in words So close to the heart and so very far

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/10/2008 5:24:28 PM | whisper soft breezes we met up after an afternoon rain, coming in from a long day lot of phone calls, and things to do, busy afternoon just want to get to you, so i came in from the coast driving through the countryside, to meet you at that place off from downtown
as i drove up i saw you standing outside so parked on the side of the street, and got out hitting the buttin to lock the doors behind "have you been here long, love?" "no, i just got here, i had the most horrendous day!" "let's go inside, and get warm, and you can tell me about it"
a man dressed in a gray wool suit, a black overcoat, and black shoes opens the door while holding an umbrella, for his mate a young woman about five foot four with long black hair wearing a black dress extending to her calves, and a black overcoat she enters first and then the man they walk in and take a seat at one of the booths without waiting to be seated as they are familiar with the establishment coats removed and hung on the hangars at the end of the booth
the waitress walks over, says" hello, wet one out there today. You look cold dear, i'll see if he wouldn't mind turning up the heat in here" Handing them the menus, she walks away. The man in the suit half rises, and leans across the table to kiss the girl. The establishment is older, and there are two women in a corner booth talking about their day, they're laughter is overheard.
the man sits, and asks" tell me , what happened today?"
she looks across the table at him, and says . . . . .
|
| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/10/2008 5:33:38 PM | she looks across the table at him, and says . . . . . “Whatever it was is already forgotten. The only thing real is the look in your eyes.” Her smile meets his; her expression softens. She follows her words with a relaxing sigh. | |

| Mandrakes House Posted: 5/10/2008 5:44:39 PM | | well, something a bit different I see....thanks eye and expat. A little variety always adds to the decorations on this thread. | |
