| Mandrake's House by the Fire Posted: 7/1/2008 8:32:26 PM | Woo Hoo!.....1,000th post! When I started this thread, I never imagined two pages, let alone 1,000 posts! I want to thank each and every one of you, my friends, for standing with me and making this happen!
and Juju...you have been there with me all the way...you are a very special and dear friend, and I love you for being who you are.
This morning, in passing I ventured, quietly, to that place, oh so special, no tempest, no distraction, Just a moment to share with thee, on bended knee, my tears danced in memory of you, for you left well too soon, but never forgotten, always a part of who I have become, as I lay these flowers, at my mothers grave.

| Mandrake's House by the Fire Posted: 7/1/2008 9:05:05 PM | Only to return from that pain, that hurt, one must feel to be alive, and alive to feel, to know the real from the perhaps and what if's, for to know joy, and the pleasure it brings, one must know pain at it's core to arrive at the shore of bliss. | |

| Untitle - at my mothers grave Posted: 7/1/2008 9:10:40 PM | Thank you Duke, you are always welcome here. I was much like you, I hadn't written since school days, until I came here. You are all inspirations to me.
One, two, three, I look, and see, tenderly, gentle of soul, a sprightly imp, playful and coy, bringing joy with a smile, a soulful eclipse upon her lips, as she danced the sidewalks of life, I watched her for a moment, and then smiled as I filed her in my heart.
|
| Untitle - at my mothers grave Posted: 7/1/2008 9:17:19 PM | I seek only to touch the spirit of humanities, the gentle, the kind, the peace of mind, the caring, the loving, all too rare, like an old book discarded, Found, and restored to it's beauty, so it's pages will never be forgotten, the humanity of love. | |
|
| Untitle - at my mothers grave Posted: 7/1/2008 9:24:40 PM | Cloaked in darkness, Wrapped in fog, like a blanket, I am you.
I see what you miss, I hear what you can't, yet I am invisible to you, and so is my love.
Yet, I wait, dreaming of your touch, your heart beats in mine, forever and ever,
And in the stillness
I touch you
in sleep. | |

| Untitle - at my mothers grave Posted: 7/1/2008 9:54:50 PM | In a stain glass image, a brilliant light shone upon the world, an angel appeared in glorious universal splendor, she spoke in tones of gold, echoing to humankind, only by loving each other shall you be saved, and then, she disappeared. | |

| checkin' on granny Posted: 7/2/2008 10:44:01 PM | july 7 ~ok missy, i hear you're refusing your meds.. 'no one's listening to me' ~granny, they're the doctors...don't you think.... 'see, you're not listening to me ~ok..i'm listening
(i wait patiently while she feebly tries to explain how the meds aren't good for her but is unable to complete a thought looking confused, she finishes.....)
(knowing her achilles heal i start rubbing her feet kneeding the souls pulling the toes... all my pedicures have now paid off) ~you know granny if i was in the hospital i'd do what the doctor said (i know she was doing her best to comprehend) ~i mean, the nurses take your vitals every 2 hours...and the doctors check and adjust 'really?' ~yep 'ok, i'll do it! i'll take my medicine'
(when the nurse comes in to take her vitals she tries to explain her decision i interpret...) "well mama, if you don't take your medicine i'll have to spank you" the nurse joked ~oh no....she'll like it too much! granny laughs i love when she gets it!
before we hug i remind her there's two things she needs to do 1-relax 2-take her meds 'i'll try' ~i know you will granny i know you will....

Mandrake I have only been here in the forums for a few days... Kind of dusting off the cobwebs and writing what comes to mind off the cuff. I really enjoy your writing and it inspires me to keep trying to get it out of myself somehow... I don't care if I get one damn date from POF. I look forward to seeing what you all are doing. You all are great...
