Those are the creepiest encounters. Then the humility of sleeping in that stuff without noticing begins to sink in.
Precisely, and who would have thought that the disembodied could smell so bad.

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 5/19/2008 4:00:00 PM | | I live in a very active house, spent a few years yelling at my grandson to go back to bed, and he was in bed. This is a very old house, in a very old place, and it is active, more then one entity, I believe the house is in a portal, with many hitchhikers hanging about. not scary, and i never feel alone | |

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 8/15/2008 1:30:26 PM | When these discussions come up I am always reminded of joke told by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges....
Two beings were in a library. The first asked the second, "Do you believe in ghosts?". The second said "No, I don't". The first said, "I do" and then disappeared through a bookcase!

When these discussions come up I am always reminded of joke told by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges.... I guess the comedy got lost in translation.
Does anyone have verifiable non-subjective proof of the existence of ghosts? Until then, I have as much belief in ghosts as belief in the existence of leprechauns, elves, fairies, Santa, the tooth fairy and god.

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 8/15/2008 6:27:56 PM | As far as I know there is no empirical evidence.. but I have experienced some fairly bizarre things in my last house, even had a witness with me. REAL physical phenomena.. and no video camera at the time (crap!)
Ghost? Spirit? random psychic energy? a break in the laws of the universe? I have no idea, nor would I try to convince anyone else of the veracity of what I experienced, as I recognize it's subjectivity.
But still.. there it is
I kind of like living in an universe where there are still mysteries though... means there's always more to discover

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 9/10/2008 12:59:53 AM | I had some strange phenomena at my apartment that led me to believe (no other explanation I could rationally think of) that it was haunted. To many things to list at the moment...main things were items dissapearing then reappearing someplace I had just cleaned while my children were sleeping, cracking noises, appliances turning on by themselves, etc.
I did my own space clearing which I thought had worked however.....
I have a dresser I'm giving away. I thoroughly washed it after I emptied it out and it has been sitting there for a few weeks while I found someone who needed it. Someone is going to pick it up tomorrow so today I went to give it a dusting.
In the first drawer I opened there is a pencil sketch of my infant daughter.
I did not now spirits could draw like that, but there is no explanation. My 5 year old doesn't draw like that yet (she still does stick people), no one but us have been in the room it's in, no one has been in my apartment without me being there, the drawing would be difficult to do by a right-handed person (the sides of the dresser would interfere with the angle), and there hasn't been a pencil in that room as far as I can remember.

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 9/11/2008 9:21:50 PM | | Yes, I definitely believe in ghosts. Had an encounter with a spirit whilst staying in an old hotel a few years ago...scared the #%% outta me. | |

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 9/12/2008 11:10:45 AM | Ghosts? Maybe not. Spirits and left over energy - definitely. We are all connected to each other and the Earth by energy - we're all made of energy. Everything we do in this world, we send energy to the Earth. I believe, that when we die, some of that energy gets left behind.
Most of the hauntings that are reported on shows like Paranormal State for example, people experience unusual occurances in their homes, describing as heavy tension / energy. If you follow most ghost stories, you will hear of lights being turned on and off, electrical appliances being switched on and off...very rarely does anyone actually see a ghostly figure. (I'm not saying it doesn't happen - just not often).
So yep. I believe hauntings are possible. The experiences I have had in the past have been with heavy or negative energies, I have yet to see a ghost. However, there are some houses or homes that I have gone into, and stay very briefly, and choose not to return to. Some places just give you that vibe. You know something's there but not sure what. Sometimes it's better not to stay long enough to find out lol.

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 9/30/2008 1:04:22 PM | I sure do! I've had way too many experiences with the paranormal to discount the exsistence of ghosts/supernatural/angels/etc. I believe in haunted places/objects/people. I also believe that people with esp/mediumistic abilities/or whatever you want to call it, can be attracted to certain "hot spots". I'm currently going through a spiritual awkening. In the past I've experienced almost all of it. From the t.v. turning off on its own, waking up with blood stains on my hands, bloody finger prints found on me on 2 seperate occassions, feeling a presence(s) in the room, the sound of footsteps/knocking on doors, things going missing and then found in odd locations, seeing things in the corner of my eye, feeling some invisble person touching me, prophetic dreams, being able to pick up random info from people I've never met before, hear my name being called, to a constant slight pressure on my head. (The pressure on my head comes and goes, it feels like some one put their thumb on my fore head.) So yeah, I'd say I'm a believer in ghosts...lol Any one else who care to share their experiences with me can message me on here. I'd love to hear from you. | |

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 9/30/2008 1:24:45 PM | You have to be very careful when dealing with a person's spirit. Especially when they in their former life, commited suicide. You never know for 100% sure if the person that's trying to contact you, or that you're trying to contact, is who they show themselves to be. I don't care how much you think you know it's them, it could very well be something/one trying to pose as the person you once knew on this plane. As for their intentions of deceving u, it could be to cause a crap load of harm. Whether it'd be spiritual, physical; or even emotional. Either way, it's not a good thing for some one who's in a very vulnerable state. (I imagine that you're in quite the fragile state with grief.) I always tell that to any one who wishes to go and see/contact a loved one. It's amazing how so many people know so little about the possible dangers of contacting any spirit(s). It's also very alarming as well as aggrivating, people's attitudes towards the spirit world. They treat it like a carnival ride, or a game. Trust me, it's not a game! In fact, it's far from it. I have experience with this subject. However, I still have quite alot to learn-every one does. No one will know all that there is to know on this subject. I don't care how long you've been doing this for, there's always more to learn. It's like the medical field, good doctors will never stop learning. I cannot stress this last point enough...always treat the dead, spirits, graveyards, paranormal, etc. with the most respect possible. If you don't, you could end up in some very serious trouble! Hopefully this did'nt come across as too preachy or anyhting other than trying to be helpfull. | |

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 10/14/2008 4:20:48 AM | anyone ever read the book flatland ?
if a 3d shadow passed over a 2d world what would the occupants think? there are suppose to be multiple dimensions
a uranium atom when viewed under a high powered microscope does not look as it should in 3d - neutrons and protons surrounded by electrons like a planet when viewed it actually totally changes shape and pulsates randomly could ghosts just be shadows from other dimensions that intersect with ours ?

| Do you believe in ghosts/Haunted houses? Posted: 1/13/2009 10:20:11 AM | I definetly belive , and have had expeirences . My first and most vivd would be when i was 6 , and woke up in the middle of the night to drink some water that was beside my bed. When i looked int he door way i saw a tall old man wearing a hat , and a dog sitting beside him, just looking at me. I wasent afraid at all and just went back to sleep.
i didnt know what it was until i got older and learned about ghosts.
Ive also had stuff turn on and off while i was in the room, doors open, shadows standing over my bed , or in the corner of my room . Many times running up the stairs feeling like i was being chased.
