Jim..you cannot base you anger issues and feelings in this regard to things of responsible incline. Have a good day dear.

Anger issue?

Please. When someone disagrees with you it's an issue with them? Or when you make assumptions that they haven't read your post in it's entirety, it's an issue with them?

No display of anger here, just your arrogance. Yuck.

It's obvious you wanted some attention from me as a female viewer Jim. That does indeed show. Everything you have said is contradictory Jim, of anything i posted on page four. Yes i do see negative Anger issues as you are concerned. One who needs to work on their faculties.

BTW..I blocked your email after the delete. This is a firearms topic, not a sport of hunting deer topic as you think it is.

Appreciate the derogatory e-mail and the put downs Karen. I did not initiate contact with you in any way, shape or form.

Calling me a woman hater, ignorant and a person who's mental faculties are not all there because they disagree with you is not my problem. It's yours.

Good luck in your search. YOU need it.

I'd NEVER date a man who owned a gun. Whether qualified or not.

Shame to see this interesting forum turned into a hunting bashing post, Callie. Any self respecting hunter also has great respect for his prey and does his best to eliminate any suffering and make a clean kill. They take a great deal of pride in thier accuracy for this reason. Why don't we all throw away our traditions, sit in front of the computer and lazily stroll through the supermarket to eat high fat corn fed and absolutely tortured animal meat. Oh yeah, most of us in america have...check out the obesity rates. BTW...I don't hunt. There is a great deal of demand for those meats from those who appreciate variety and health. Sorry for the off topic rant.

Karen...what exactly is a canine requirement? LOL

"You fail to read in completion Jim. I stated if stores were not present i would shoot down meat creatures my own self as humans do have canine requirements. I stated that murder of animals for sport is WRONG!!"

It wouldn't bother me provided that the reason that they are present are valid. Also, if they are locked in a case or rack and the shells are separate from the guns.

I was a founding member of a gun club where I used to live and I love target shooting....so if he was into that, it would be a plus.

With gas prices as high as they are, hunting is starting to become a neccesity for regular folks.

I don't hunt for the fun of it, I hunt to boost the quality & quantity of food in the home. I've got a garden with a rabbit fence around it and I quite often take rabbits & squirrels for dinner...added bonus is keeping them out of the garden. I'll regularly go out to Eglin AFB and hunt feral Spanish hogs (improperly released during the 1950's)which eat all the food that indigenous deer were supposed to be eating...you can take one a day during the season...and that provides hams, bacon, fatback...get a lot of use out of a 200 pound hog. I'll give excess meat to neighbors & friends...throw a mean BBQ cookout for everyone when I've done particularly well.

Blackpowder rifles are the way to go with hogs, you get to hunt for two weeks before & after regular rifle season, so if you are a good shot you can really rack up some serious meat....the .50 is a powerful round and drops them fast...all you have to do is make sure you shoot straight :)

My sister runs around with a shirt that says "Guns don't kill people. I kill people". I get a kick out of it every time I see it.

Guns are fine. My dad keeps them around; my uncles/cousins all shoot/hunt.

Doesn't bother me.

I was raised around guns so I wouldn't really mind, as long as the guy wasn't an "under qualified idiot".

I work in law enforcement so I would have a gun regardless. This is why everyone else in SouthFlorida should have a gun. Check out these two videos from youtube.

I have a small smith an wesson sigma 9mm, i want a few more pistols........but to have the guns and bullets locked up somewhere is absurd.........how the hell are you going to find ll those things in less than 30 seconds in the middle of the night when you have to defend your home from robbery.

For myself, when I'm home, my safe stands wide open so I can get anything I need...when I go out, it gets locked, alarm on, etc...

If I were in Australia I'd do it that way too, because by the time a cop got past my dogs, I'd have the safe closed before they ever knocked on the door ;)

To have a gun WITHOUT having a safe...well, unless you carry it 24/7 you are asking for trouble.

I read a report from the FBI. It stated that you have an average of 10 seconds before an intruder has secured your home.

The previous guys makes a good poibt for guns. What else r u suposd to do. I personally have a gun cabinet n my livng room and a gun rite next to my bed. Ther is more value n guns than anythng else n my house and wuldnt change it. They allow u to get fresh food and protect urself. The anti firearm people really piss me off that's what makes america the best, the rite to bare arms. And u knw what my gf loves them so if u dnt like guns or are anti huntng well then to u I say F U C K you.

dating someone who keeps guns?

how i currently feel on such an issue is, i would not date a person who practiced a habit of keeping guns around.

these devices scare me, as do knives, and such, but i find guns particularly frightening, and the better trained the person is with a gun, the more reason i would be intimidated...

Actually, I can't see myself being interested in the type of man who DOESN'T have any RIFLES in the house. Handguns don't matter either way.

I wonder why Canucks are so afraid of guns??

The Canadian people have a marked tendancy to be nicer, and have very specific laws about guns, storage thereof, and use. Most Canadian men who have guns use them for hunting purposes, not crime or even home defense.

Of course, I'm also sitting here smirking because those tiny blondes would be bear food if not FOR the Canadian guys WITH guns...

there are not no bears around where i live...., i don't think any girls in canada are fearing being eaten by bears right now either...especially in the city, or suburbia, i never seen a bear in my life, except when i travelled to alaska n payed to see one!

there is not a need for guns i do not think, a person who lived near wildlife could call animal control to help with incident if an animal was on property, and they do not kill them either!!!

they just tranquilize the animal, and relocate it to a safer area.

^^
