This is where fetishes in general can become problematic. They should be a fondness and not a necessity. There's nothing wrong with liking something. In fact, it can add some spice to your sex life. But you should always be in control of it, not the other way around.
Anything you can't say no to is your master, and you are its slave. It's similar to how drug addiction occurs.

All theory here and no hard evidence, so take this with a grain of salt, but this is my take on it. It’s been proven that people with psychological issues rarely have normal sexuality. Most fetishes can generally be traced to some other mental issue. My guess is that it’s probably a subconscious self-esteem issue. If somewhere in your head, you see women you’re attracted to as being above you and you feel unworthy to be with them, it would make sense that you would worship (develop a fondness for) the most disgusting parts of them. Dirty shoes and socks are generally unpleasant to most of us. But to someone who thought he was unworthy, these things could seem divine. I’m guessing it’s the same way with people who are into the whole golden showers/scat thing.

However my girl had issues with perceptions of foot odor and cleanliness. She certainly wasn't a prude in any way..it was just something she was sensitive about. I thought everyone liked attention to their feet, and that foot worship was a freebee no effort not so intimate activity that was low risk and easy to share. That's not true. It became a serious problem that pissed her off. I guess I should have stuck to the pages she had open in her manual..

Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with my feet at all, but there extremely ticklish beyond belief. Even if a guy accidently brushes against the sole of my bare foot in bed he gets it, i jump and squeel, hate my feet touched, im just so ticklish there its like it hurts, its not nice.
I have to warn guys that if they do touch my feet im likely to jump so much i could kick them, its dreadful, but most seem to understand and just avoid my feet as they dont want a kick from an uncontrolable foot.
