I have tried to be this way but always end up getting usurped by the woman! lol An example of a real man is when you go to his house and his wife makes you tea and something to eat and the house is spotless!!!! Says a lot about how he has things running! Maybe we all just need a real woman to be real men! lol | |

Posted: 5/19/2008 5:25:36 AM | This whole concept of Real Men is something bitter, dumb women came up with to differentiate between jerks and non jerks. Apparently its not enough to say man A is a jerk and man B is not.
ALL men are real men (yes... even the gay men). Some are jerks and many more are not.

I shall never accept myself "Good Enough" to become sully, contented, arrogant and complacent.
I shall never take or think I deserve anything that I have not earned myself.
I shall never treat someone less than the people I hold most dear and mean more than myself.
I shall never allow someone to be hurt because of my direct or indirect actions.
My Word is my bond and my promises shall always be kept.
The only outcome of a fight I will accept is the one that will never happen or end without someone resulting in injury beside myself no matter the odds against.
I shall never quit to resolve any problem that affects my life no matter how difficult.
I shall be independent, in control and self aware of my actions and thoughts.
I shall not be forced, coerced or tortured to go against my will to do what is right.
I shall never stop pursuing the Meaning of Life to Perpetuate, Preserve and Protect all Life.
These are the trials and testaments that defines a Real Man from a Homo-sapien, Primate, Mammal to go against his own nature and instinct to do what is right. | |

Look into a mirror and if the person looking back at you is smiling I guess you're ok, not a real man just ok. There is no measurement for this, only the day you are on your death bed can you look back and say I have lived, mostly a good life so Iam ready to let go. Have you ever noticed through friends that have passed most that have lived a good life are ready to go, those that have not and are surrounded by guilt and feel they need to live to right their wrongs and most are scared of death.JMO. | |

Real men are on time, or they at least call to let you know they are running late. Real men are hardworkers that can also play hard with the woman who has been thinking about him throughout the day, especially if she had earier received an email with just one word---KISS.
Real men do NOT brag about their conquests to their new lady because he knows she will forever wonder if she herself measures up. Real men do NOT worry if size matters because he can tell by the way she moves and moans while lovemaking, that honey, she ain't fakin' it:-)
Real men have a genuine smile, not forced. A smile that shows they are happy to see you again. Real men have a loving hand and a tender kiss, but know when to speed it up as well Real men have values and morals, which beats money and power.
And lastly--real men have their own car and offer to pay at least half when out on the town. | |

Yes indeed. People have preferences. However, when one has too many preferences one often ends up in a place just such as THIS spending God knows how long/maybe forever looking for a non-existent person.
No one pissed in my Cheerios. However, it DOES admittedly annoy the hell out of me when people with too many preferences just do not realize how unrealistic they are!
Ah, there we go!

A real man knows this is a dumb question. No offense meant.
A real man goes to work, pays his bills and isn't afraid to be honest.
He knows when to tell the nagger that he is tired of being nagged.
Knows when to tell a woman she is being too emotional about something stupid.
Knows when to shut up and listen when something isn't stupid.
Is a master of his emotions and knows what to say/not say at the right time.
Is the rock of the relationship, the stabilizer.
That's all I've gathered from personal experience.
Problem is we're just human and fk' up. So if you're up against someone's unrealistic expectations of a "Real Man" (Some I've read here.) ditch the weight. | |
