For me a real man is someone who doesn’t get joules when he sees his woman talking to another attractive man. Unless of course they are kissing and groping then he has a right to be joules. A real man is a guy who doesn’t get angry when his woman tells him she’d rather spend the night alone or out with her girlfriends. A real man is someone that has his own life, and encourages his partner to have a life of her own as well. The stuff about opening doors and paying for dinner though nice and some women including myself like it, are not necessary to be a real man. At least I don’t think so. | |

Yadda, Yadda $h!t ! - What world do you live on - What about your own parents - when your mother said she was going out - how did you dad take it? At least it made him mad and he let her know it! He in most cases was yelled at for hanging with his friends even one day a week - so Life isn't Perfekt....

It's like the weather : it changes constantly. Much of what I've read so far about what a "Real Man" comprises of seems to be a wish list of what women want men to DO and not BE. Jack of all trades, master of all, pay for anything she wants and let her go and do what ever-whenever but the man can never be like this. I know the following are a type of joke but sometimes one wonders if women begin to believe:
THE RULES
The female always makes the rules
The rules are subject to change at any time without prior notification.
No male can possibly know all the rules.
If the female suspects the MALE know all the rules, she must immediately change some or all of the rules.
The female is never wrong.
If the female is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a result of something the male did or said wrong.
The male must apologize immediately for causing said misunderstanding.
The female may change her mind at any time.
The male must never change his mind without the express written consent of the female.
The female has every right to be angry or upset at any time.
The male must remain calm at all times unless the female wants him to be angry or upset.
The female must, under no circumstances, let the male know whether or not she wants him to be angry and/or upset.
The male is expected to mind read at all times.
Any attempt to document the rules could result in bodily harm.
If the female has PMS, all the rules are null and void.
The female is ready when she is ready.
The male must be ready at all time.
The male who doesn't abide by the rules can't take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp. | |

Sounds like most women have bought into the RADICAL side of the women's liberation movements male bashing and controlling program made popular during the mid-1970's.
Well, that's the point - it's no longer about finding someone to get married to - beacuse that was a man's way to control them.
It's all about SEX and that only:
1. Who has the biggest member
2. If I can't have the man I want - I'll see my own Sex
3. Mingers can go to Hell - Who needs em - the Sperm Banks will keep us going for eternity.......

He makes sure that she knows she is a priority and desired, loved, valued.
That sounds like a man who goes out of his way to cater to a woman's insecurities...a "real" man has to find himself a "real" woman...it's not realistic to want a man who is confident and true to himself when you also need him to reasure you that you are of value to him. A "real" man would never perpetuate his woman's ego..."real" people will open up and share insecurities, but only in a secure way...that's true strength...

If he is a real man, he would know better that we prefer to be talked with the truth that with silly lies that we will discover sooner than later. he will also find out a good way to approach the subject even if it is not easy to always speak with the truth.
Very few qualify as real men according to my requirement.

Hey, OP, Bonnie Raitt does a song, the lyrics of which, in part, are "I want a man to rock me, not some fool to ask me why" , and for emphasis, "I want a man to rock me like my back ain't got no bone". She mentions a "real man" in there somewhere. Sounds alot better when she sings it, but was reading Moondance's wrongly belittled post when it played right behind me. Add enthusiastic to her definition of the ultimate aphrodisiac, and I think she's got a strong point. 'Course, I'm thinking about a woman with those attributes, but I have this theory that we're all humans, with some charming anatomical differences, and what works for one probably serves well for both. | |
