Posted: 1/20/2009 6:42:51 PM | | what passes for emo these days isnt even really emo.emo was emotinal hardcore instead of writting about politics and that jazz they wrote about bad life experinces.mainsteam so called emo is either pop punk,mall-core and really crappy wannabe goth rock.the some bad thoughs about emo have gone to screamo too and the mainstream as twisted its meaning to.if you want to hear emo listen to rites of spring,fugazi,and sunny day realestate.for actual screamo listen to orchid,circle takes the square there are plenty of others.people need to not judge music by the mainstream crap that plays on your radios,sells in your malls and ruins music scenes. | |

Posted: 1/20/2009 10:30:31 PM | | basically emo artists are country bands with a different sound, hell, the lyrics are the same, except for the fact that only women country singers wear eyeliner and shave all their body hair.(ok so female country singers don't shave their eyebrows, most of em anyway.) i'm not going to say i've heard it all, but i've heard a really good amount of emo/screamo to pass my opinion of the genre, not my cup of tea. | |

What's labeled "Emo" tends to deliver what I want nowadays like Grunge did for me growing up. I'll take a melodramatic punk ballad over a pretentious electronic influenced statement on technology any day. I'll take a whiny emo scream over a death metal goat scream any day. Billy Corgan always had a nasally voice and it always felt more human. I do hate the "Emo" culture but I just hate any music culture. The only accessory you should wear in connection to music is a f***ing pair of headphones. Listen to it, feel it but don't live it. | |

And emo sucks cause it's a joke of a genre for whining crybaby teenagers who have nothing better to do then complain about their lives. Seriously kids, remember the golden rule of being emo, it's down the road not across the tracks. I wish someone would eliminate emo kids and the music from the face of this earth, they are all a bunch of littlegirlsjeans wearing pansies. | |

If you don't like the way people judge you for being emo,
well, don't be emo.
Or at least, don't dress emo. And don't tell people you like that music. | |
