Hey Everyone, Did anything interesting happen this past weekend, here in SW Florida?

Bruce, How was the turn-out at ABATE activities?

Jerry and I Met with POF member"Reel_Pirate" from West Palm Beach at the Pirate Festival in Key West and celebrated our Honeymoon. We enjoyed both the local Atmosphere of Key West itself as well as the added excitement having the city full of Pirates!!

The Pirate Festival is always the last weekend in November. We have talked to Tom about getting POF'ers together to attend next year as a group.

We will be attending the Gasparilla Festival in Tampa coming up in January and would love to have anyone interested join us.

CHUBBYZ, THURSDAY...LETS GET TOGETHER AND SHARE STORIES (and Pics)OF EVERYONES HOLIDAY GET-TOGETHERS!!!

Huggs, Everyone!!!

Holiday Night of Lights
Fri, December 07, 2007
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: St. Armands Circle

The biggest and most magical night on St. Armands. The Circle and Circle Park magically come to life as the Circle "lights up" with thousands of white lights and lighted silhouette decorations! The offical kick off to the Holiday season, the evening begins with the lighting of St. Armands' FOUR STORY Christmas tree. And, of course, we musn't forget the arrival of that jolly old elf, himself - Santa Claus! Twelve live musical entertainment groups are scattered thoroughout the Circle as well as strolling musicians! Children have the opportunity to visit with Santa and share their wish list! Stores have extended store hours and the feeling of holiday cheer is in the air.

Sarasota Christmas Boat Parade
Saturday, December 8, 2007

The boats travel from the southern tip of Longboat Key south, past City Island. The parade then crosses the bay, towards Centennial Park, and follows the shoreline south, under the Ringling Bridge. It enters the harbor by Marina Jack for judging.

LYNDA, Thanks for posting!! Boat Parades are a wonderful part of living in Florida!!
Instead of the sparkeling from the Sky...it's coming from the water! God Bless You All.

Usually I decorate my Christmas tree today. It is mine, and my Mothers Birthday , so
usually I have the family over spend a cozy evening with my family....yet fate has given me a winter cold or flu !! I've been barking since we returned from our Honeymoon Monday night. We'll have to postpone the tree decorating!!

Did anyone get to Chubbyz last night? Is it gettting too cold to continue meeting outside? Any suggestions? Keep it up? Cancel until spring? Find a new location? Stay at Chubbyz, just meet inside? What do Ya'll think?

It's Ya'll Party...do what you want to...

With it being the Holiday seasons there must be alot going on in the area.

Please post any events you are aware of....or write in with an invitation for others to meet with you and create an event.

Cape Coral is doing a great job of gettingLee county hopping. Congrads Sarah, Mary and to you all !

Highland County has posted a party in January, Good luck Jason, Larry and the gang!

Is Applebee's still the place to be on Saturday night in North Port??

Anyone interested in going to the Gasparilla Pirate Party in Tampa (end of January)?
Jerry and I had a great time at the festival in Key west. Yet from what I hear the Tampa event is more like a Mardi Gras. Captain Tom (REEL_PIRATE) will be coming over from West Palm for the event. Lets get a group together!

I'm glad to see ya'll still want to keep Chubbyz going on Thurs nights...maybe I'll be feeling well enouth to get there this week. The cold symptoms are gone except for a rough cough.

Lynda, Ron, Pete, Thank you all for the birthday wish. I turned 25, and Mom turned 17???? Yes I'm teasing 52, and 71.....

Huggs to you all.....Happy Holidays, Kimmie

With hard financial time effecting so many of those around us, try to remember Christmas is about Jesus, not money and gifts. Give of yourselves, your time, kind words and deeds to those around you. Monday Morning.....Winter has finally arrived!!! Is anyone ENJOYING this chilly weather??? I was born in Florida, yet my family moved to Massachusetts when I was in first grade. What a thrill it was the first winter I spent playing in the snow and watching it fall outside my window surrounded with Christmas lights.

Does anyone else, have fond memories (or a funny story) about winters up north?

Is anyone doing Christmas Carolling this year? Don't be shy...suprize your neighbors!! It's Karaoke at it's finest!!!
