Posted: 5/10/2007 5:08:13 PM | | At my work, the guys there played a joke on one guy and to this day we still laugh about it. They left him a message to call Myra Mains at a funeral home. He called once, the woman told him he had the wrong number, so he redialed it, got her again, of course she told him he had the wrong number again, and when he went on his little rant about how he had a message after lunch to call Myra Mains, the woman told him someone was playing a joke on it and to think of where he was calling! | |

My step dad had this wonderful friend of his who unfortunately passed away recently. However, when they were working together she left a message for him to call Mr. G. Raffe.
He picked up the phone, called the number and didn't listen to whoever answered it and asked for Mr. G. Raffe. The woman said "Pardon?" and then repeated "This is the Assiniboine Park Zoo, how may I direct your call?"
My step dad just mumbled "damnit!" and hung up..
We still laugh about that one today... | |

i deal with alot of weird names at work each day
but omggg!! today had a few woowsers...i wonder what their parents were thinking??
my boss was standing by me on 1 call..and i had tears running down my face over him..after i had to call the guy by his name... how do you say..hell mr harry hooker..what can i do for you today and keep a straight voice!!
or earlier this week,.a ms de feknoff!!

When I was about sixteen...I mean eighteen
And when bars had paging systems...yes you could actually call the bar and have your friends paged to the telephone.
Someone would almost always call in and the bartender could be heard paging
