| What kind of profiles do you like?
Posted: 4/26/2008 11:05:46 AM | I like profiles which talk about how flaky gay men are and all that gay men are into is sex. And how they are looking for someone they can be friends with primarily and how they are not phony like other gay men and then they list the same interests as mine and when I write them telling them I am looking for the same thing and have the same interests they read/delete my email. Thank you for wasting my fuking time. Why not just write in their profile "I'm an azzhole"? It would take a whole lot less time for me to read.

Questions begging to be asked with possible answers that I might actually find interesting. It's a tricky thing and I'm not even sure mine really does it all that well. So often I find profiles that suggest an interesting person but I can't find an "in". | |

Call me picky, but I really struggle to read a description that's blocked into one MASSIVE paragraph. I just get lost when attempting to read it!

Posted: 7/8/2008 9:51:27 PM | LONG-ASS profiles that actually have something to SAY besides "I'm laid back, fun-loving, love to laugh, love to walk on the beach, etc. etc." yadda yadda yadda ............. there is nothing unique about any of this, and it's not the slightest bit interesting to read.
I like profiles that have some cutting-edge wit and actually say something unique about the individual.  | |

2) all of their drop-down choices are "prefer not to say"
3) a long list of mailing filters

Which often translates to "I'm married and don't want my spouse to see me on here".

Too many use filters just because they are there. The better use would be to wait until there is an actual problem. | |

I'd rather read what they DO do, as far as habits, than be met with a line of "don'ts" .
'online' persona is not a true measure of ones self, real time interaction is much more revealing........and even then..? | |

with pictures
that don't say "just checking things out" or "I'll fill this out later"
that show the person has genuine interests
that give a clear idea/glimpse of what the person is looking for
I don't like a profile...
that looks like something simply thrown online to get a bunch of views
that requires a Moron to English translation
that are in all CAPS
that are loaded with LOLs and HAHAs
...If anyone needs me I'll be editting my page and passing out Moron to English Decoder Rings to the rest of the POF Pond | |

eeek, that doesn't work after you open email from them none of the filters work for that user.

Because if it leads to a conversation I am going to look for the person to be funny, witty, or romantic. I like something that truely represents the person. Funny and or romantic make at least for a good read too.  | |

Now for a story a short one.
A lady walks in a mall and she orders steak.
A man walks into a liquor store and buys a six pack.
A young teenager trys cigs for the first time.
A Pregant young lady regrets her past and is now on welfair.
Put these in order have fun with the meat market.
If the guy wants to get laid try sweeden chicks.
If the male wants a serious relationship with the opposite sex have fun with your profile and add a little something special. You know do something you woudlnt do on your first date with the woman you are seeking. Try talking about your job in your profile try being more in detail where you see your self in five years if that hits the mark. By all means if you are looking to be serious dont put in your profile you are not looking you sound like a stalker whne you have that catch phraze in there.
For guys who want to get in shape are conisdered called geeks or nerds and smartys try the gym its not goin to hurt to put on some muscle with your nerdiness. Let us a ll look at revenge of the nerds becuase after all we all have been a nerd one time or another .So look for another nerd who has been a nerd.
For guys who judge a girl on her grammar or puncuation this is because women do the same to the men. Remember she is not saying that you are idiot with your grammar or puncuation she is saying bassically she is not attracted to you and felt like insluting you down the way. This is a good example of all that is going to happen.
This kind of behavior does not just happen on chat rooms it happens in real life people are cruel. The majority of people do not all go by looks. Most majority of women go for other . Do you really think a woman cares about your hygeine? i mean seriously, do you think she cares what you wear? it depends on where you are raised but some places the majority of women do not care about these things, as much as how much money you carry on you and can you afford a two story immediate house?
Why do you think most women ask what we do when you are either dancing with them or meeting with them, even on a first date and dont tell me it never happens.
Even christian woman are guilty on this part. Depending on location where you are from can be worse then others. Beverly Hills Holly Wood all about money.
Dating has been a buisness for quite some time. I knew a lady who was a singer at the time and cheated on her husband because the other guy bid higher then her husband could how f up is that? This site no offence but a lot of the women seem to be just about that. The majority of men are actually more against that thinking as well she use me for my money or think i well do this to her. Why do you think when you mention i take you to coffee shop for a first date and she claims i dont drink coffee but i kid you not you see this same person you just chatted with who told you she didnt like coffee at star bucks the next day. | |

Also in other states but like i said it varies. Small towns i would say are much better to meet a woman you might marry someday but citys are the pits. Lets face we seen a lot of beautiful women with men you would say were not attractive. Its all about what does he have and what can he do for me. What can buy me and my son. When you deal with a lady who has kids that is a great example. I put on this ladys profile you have beautiful family and if you like to be friends i be your friend lets chat sometime. That lady who was 28 never wrote me back why because she figured out in my profile im not a real estate agent . You really have to ask your self guys what do you really want.
You either are doing the dating scene or you want a serious relationship?
I desiere a serious relationship not fake and am a professional musican.
I am not rich i guess its not going to work out here, meeting any lady who would give a musican a chance oh well. A t least maybe i helped some people in this room to day who can read through my bad grammar and puncuation to understand me fully.
I am not fake quite real and sick of the dating scene. I do how ever encourages others if that is what you want do it, but expect what i was telling you a lot of women who are just into the dating scene expect one night stands money gone from your wallet and not even a kiss at the end of a date or a hug. Her response from the date oh i dont hug on the first date but she forgets to tell you how many other guys she is hugging and kissing. She is just using you for a good time and your money nothing in return.
I m sure a lot of guys have had this happen not just me I am considered the good guy oh well thats just me. | |

Something about her personality comes through in the writing and she engages her audience of men. I really love it when a woman is obviously very articulate and literate. She charms me and engages me.
Too many of the profiles read the same - she likes movies, dining, walks on the beach, blah, blah, blah. Doesn't everyone? I like originality, not sameness.
In addition to the reading, photos really make a difference. I'm turned off by glamour photos. A woman who will only show you her face has something to hide. I like pics of women doing something besides her last vacation photo. Why do so many women care so little about the photos they post? | |

Interesting: Living in California I am clumped in a mind set that most woman here are simply just gold diggers.
I have had dates where I have not only paid for my kids (like to a game) I have also paid for the date and their child as well! Seldom do my kids go with me and a date anywhere. Hoever when they do I offer to cover for my kids.
When going out I try when it is appropriate to cover some of the costs. I met someone at the show they were going to be late so I got the tickets so we did not miss the show and then the date got the snacks.
I never look to see what someone is going to buy me. I enjoy giving. I have seen men ask for everything and seldom even say thank you .
Maybe I might be old school or maybe it is because I was raised in the midwest. The values are different, but I have lived in california longer then in the midwest. It could also be somones bent to be selfish. So, before clumping all woman in California into being selfish there are nice ladies out there who are real and not out for the taking. | |
