Where I can read alil about her, and feel a warm easy goin vibe, that we could be something together... has 1/4 of my likes, and is not affraid to be comical, or lusty in her pix!

Also... does not include the words.... "Perfer not to say"!

Personally, give me a profile that's fun and funny and warm and inviting and a little sexy ANY day.

...The very best is the profile that gives you the feeling that you are sitting on a couch next to the writer, and they are just telling you who they are- in their own style, at their own pace. They can be funny or imaginative or killer sexy or so quiet you almost don't want to breathe while you're reading it....

Yep, agreed. I know I'm biased (as mine is very long... I keep trying to shorten it, but can't decide what to take out!), but I don't mind the long ones in the slightest... I love the ones that really show me what the person is about, what they are like, who they are as a person. I want to get a sense of what the guy is really like, the more the better. Often this can't be done in very few words, in my experience, but there are exceptions to this. :)

I like (and am highly amused and entertained) by long profiles authored by optimistic types who think they can challenge me in the "Longest Profile in Freaking POF History" department. I have that award displayed proudly on my shelf. I dare anyone to even attempt to steal it.

Enjoy your award...then read mine...which is both longer than yours AND singlespaced.

Uh...if it's that important to you, I could go back and take out all the stuff about giraffes...

What kind of profiles do I like?

Anything that demonstrates an active mind.

Usually doesn't contain anything like "im an easygoing kind of guy, no drama, just want to have a good time...i love 2 laff with a special lady..."

Profiles I like: Mnemo, Mominatrix, HotGeek, PeteredOut, DonkeyPimp, Psssst, Zombiechik, Violettskye, 1Quest1... all you too-damn-smart-for-Mensa-types

It is not the length of the profile that counts but what you do with it (insert ten thousand penis jokes here). I am rather fond of long, detailed profiles like impresaria's or Mominatrix's (both of us are fond of Mom's, it is a riot to read).

This means that Sterlingheart, Mominatrix and I have traveled the long and winding wrote...

But you, CleverCoot, truly have the write stuff.

It's always nice to see one that the lady took some time with--especially if it tells me something about her interests, hopes, plans, etc. Red flags: claims that they're intelligent, honest, virtuous, etc. I'd rather make those calls myself.

I like profiles that are funny and there are some really good ones out there. They also have show that the author has class.

^^^^Spooky ain't it? Boo!

I like the short, sweet profiles. The tomes found here are enough to choke a horse. The men for the most part (hi Greggie) are mostly just interested in if you have the physical attributes they require...and since most of us women have what they want between the legs, they aren't much interested in what's in our heads except as as a way to "get in" there. It's just a tool to be used to manipulate us, to say what they think we want to hear so we'll have...hope.

Just speaking from experience guys. I'm sure, YOU guys aren't guilty of any of this.

AliBabble, you said a mouthful.

However, since they like us for our physical equipment, we can be very, very, very selective about the mental and emotional equpment of the men we choose.

I prefer the horse-choking tomes: if the writer has a worthwhile mind.

I love a good profile read too Impre, but I'm not giving up anything important about me here on the internet. The way some people use this information to manipulate you for their own needs....well, it's just not kosher.

A worthwhile mind doesn't always translate to being a good person. Demons are suffered at all intellectual levels. I could write the most amazing profile knowing that I wanted to attract an intellectual man, but that won't guarantee that he is any better at being a real/loving man than anyone with a minimal profile.

No, I'll takes my chances on starting from scratch. In fact, I think I'm taking less of a chance. He has to dazzle me without knowing just what I want.

Sorry guys, I know that makes it harder to connect with me, but anything worthwhile is worth working at. Even love. I'd do the same for you.

I'm rather partial to Ben's profile, although it's more of a 3/4 pose than a true profile...

I actually ran out of space in my profile once. I put too much stuff in it and ran into the character limit. That was a while ago.

and ....

I have a bad memory. So the whole thing could be just a dream I had(I dream of long profiles, and foul who take up arms against their oppressors. Yes, that means armed chickens. My apocalyptic dreams are a cross between Mad Max, Chicken Run, and a KFC commercial)

Next up, Sir, you have forced my .... ermmm .... hand.

It is not the length of the profile that counts but what you do with it (insert ten thousand penis jokes here).

That's what she said.

By the way, as long as we're listing the good ones, Frau Blucher and I Cornelius definitely deserve mention.

I prefer a profile that contains a photo of a kitten, or, failing that, an elephant. To my mind that tells you a lot about the fine character and stalwart nature of the writer. In fact, were a beautiful woman to find such a profile written by a man, I would think the smartest bet would be for her to contact the writer immediately....even if he happened to be fifty eight, but did have all his hair! A profile writer who knows the difference between its and it's, where and wear and round from square. We'll deal with triangles later in the class. Yup, you can't trust a profile that doesn't include a picture of a pet. In fact, an iguana or lemur will do. Show people that you can love creatures of other species and they'll know you're capable of loving them.javascript:smilie('')

considering that not all women have a four-legged friend to pose with, nor access to a good taxidermist, would posing with their impressive collection of collars and leashes suffice?
plainly, a woman that prefers a good full-grain piece is of the finest character and loving nature.

I love "funny " and something in their profile that says something about them. I do not need to see them by or in a car that they probably don't own . Just honest and revealing somewhat.

Yea, what is up with the cleavage shots. Holding the camera over your head to capture the "girls"......I would like to believe the guys on this site are not that
stupid to think there is nothing below the chest that did not make it into the picture...come on ladies.

I like the ones that are like a good drinking song country music video.....where I laugh involuntarily......I don't like the ones with too many cliches...."I'm always joking around", "I'm romantic", "I love sushi".........I'd rather hear those descriptions spelled out or expressed more elaborately, except for the sushi part................

^^^Not me. I avoid them because I figure it means they talk really loud. I mean I'm getting older, but I don't need a hearing aid yet. It makes me nervous when women talk really loud.

It may also mean that they use massive amounts of perfume. I gag if the smell is too thick.

Nope. I see CAPS and I'm headed the other way.

I like to discern the hidden meanings behind the words. All the cliche's and innuendo. It's more a sport really. The lack of self-awareness is staggering.

I'll see a lot of profiles where the initial photo and headline look interesting, but as soon as I read the profile I lose interest immediately. Laundry-list profiles, for example, or profiles that are filled with negativity. Sometimes I'd be more likely to e-mail a woman whose profile was blank than women with some of the profiles I do see on here.
