This question is silly because it's too broad. You're going to get dramatic differences of opinion.
Personally, when I see someone who has an attribute better than mine, I just take it as proof that I can further improve myself. It doesn't change my view of that person, because the amount of money you have in the bank, or this that or the other thing doesn't reflect on how good a person you are, just on whether you're in the situation to do those things. | |

I can't comment on how men feel, but I can say that for myself I'm fine with a woman buying an expensive gift for me, as long as it is reasonable given their income level.
I'd feel bad if a girl working at an ice cream parlor bought me Louis Vuitton (extreme example) but not so much if the same gift came from a lawyer.
I think most men are caught up in the old fashioned "me man, you woman, I pay" mindset that they fail to recognize that a woman can, in fact, value them. Shit, I put a price on myself every day, but I NEVER ask for a thing.
It's really nice the way things work out for me.

Posted: 5/21/2007 7:30:48 AM | Well unfortunately some peoples ego's may not be able to deal with this in public. Personally I have no issues with this. However if you are in a long term relationship, it would probably help for you to let him pay by CC and you cover the bill at the end of the month.
The reson I say this, unfortunately society as a whole sucks, I have had a friend in this position, and you should hear the crap people say behind his back. | |
