I worked in law enforcement in Arizona for alittle over 20 years and when they finally past the CCW law, it was good..... The law abidding person could legally carry a gun.... you can bet the bad guys do.... Arizona requires the person to have a background check, and be trained in the use of a handgun and the laws pertaining to the use of force. It wasn't three weeks after the law past that a husband and wife were walking to a store in a strip mall, the pizza joint next to the store was being robbed. The two bad guys shot and killed the manager (after he gave them all the money) then shot and wounded the counter girl..... When they stepped out side, the husband and wife yelled for them to drop their guns, when they didn't the husband and wife killed both of them.... that's called american justice..... DUH, do ya think the bad guys started worrying... now they have to face someone that can actually defend themselves..... So, if you have a problem with people having guns, maybe you should cry and whine about the bad guys and leave the law abidding people alone...... I bet your the type of person that if you were being robbed or raped, you'd be looking for anyone to save your A S S..... This country was built on the right to bare arms and YES the right to freedom of speech and to say how you feel...So keep talking, it's idiots like you that remind those that really know whats going on, how great it is to have the right to defend themselves..... | |

Ummm "bare arms" is what you have when you jump out of the railer in a "wife-beater".
Right to BEAR arms is what you are referring to and has nothing to do will.
Perhaps gun ownerships should have a pre-requisite of LITERACY.
And in well over 30 years I have never needed anyone to save my ass. Haven't had to shot any of my neighbours either.
This country was built on the right to bare arms and YES the right to freedom of speech and to say how you feel...So keep talking, it's idiots like you that remind those that really know whats going on, how great it is to have the right to defend themselves.....
If you think that is all your country was built on then your education system has done you a disservice. Go back and read or have read to you all the pages of the post, it should help you determine what this is ACTUALLY about. | |

While there look up why this law hasn't had any impact on crime but has caused several questionable shootingts  . | |

Posted: 5/5/2007 6:18:15 AM | HELLO Shannanigan & the rest of you ladies that have posted rplies to this subject on this forum ---- I do realise & agree to a certain extent that if this new adjustment to the exsisting law is not applied as intended ---which to my understanding is to allow the law abiding citizens to better protect themseleves from violent crimes being perpatraited upon them--- It could ---- worse case scenerio---turn in to a possible "old west type of thing --- especially if apllied in road rage situations ---ie cutting other drivers off--- forceing into a parking spot ahead of anouther driver---- gunning your self out into traffic ---only to slow to almost a dead stop once in the traffic flow --- cutting in line at the bank ---or wal-mart ect---- watching some one hit your car in a parking lot and then taking off !!! some ones neighbor taking their dog over to take a dump in your yard instead of theirs ---after you've repeatedly ask them not to--- and they have a GREAT DANE OR A 170 pound rot wieller that can take a 10 lb. dump--- these instances could turn out bad ---- but lets try and keep this in perspective --- if you or any one of these ladies -- or for that matter ---- MY MOM, OR MY DAUGHTER, OR MY WIFE --- were out shopping--- or leaving work late--- or walking at the track---- or riding public transportation or using the bathroom at the mall & some jerk tried to MUG them--- OR STEAL THEIR PURSE OR WORSE YET ATTEMPTED TO RAPE THEM!!! I for one would be thrilled to read or hear that as they were trying to tear your clothes off or trying to drop their drawers to get their business done that YOU ----OR ANY OTHER OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED LADIES ---- HAD HAD A SMALL calibur hide out gun ----or a DERRINGER & stuck it IN THE CREEPS FACE ---OR SIDE ___OR EVEN BETTER RIGHT UP AGAINST HIS MEMBER AND BLEW THE THE SOB'S BUSINESS INTO THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK --- I WOULDN'T WANT THE PERSON TO DIE ---BUT TO BE HURT BAD ENOUGH THAT THEY'D ---CRY AND SQUALL & BEG FOR MERCY & THAT AFTER CONSIDERABLE SURGERIES & JAIL TIME THAT THEY WOULD CONSTANTLY BE REMINDED OF WHAT AN ASS THEY HAD BEEN ___BECAUSE THEIR BODY PARTS NOW NO LONGER WORKED CORRECTLY AND THEY WERE DIS FIGURED IN SOME OBVIOUS WAY!!! I DO BELIEVE IN FORGIVENESS & I DO BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE CAN CHANGE THEIR LIFE AROUND AND GET THINGS RIGHT --- BUT UNTIL THEY DO THEY SHOULD REAP WHAT THEY SOW!!!! --- SO TELL ME ---AS YOU LADIES LOOK AT THIS NEW LAW IN THIS TYPE OF APPLICATION HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IT??? ALSO WHAT IF IT APPLIED TO A PERSON CATCHING SOME ONE MOLESTING A CHILD ___OR RAPING A WOMAN OR GIRL OR A YOUNG BOY AND AS THEY TRIED TO STOP THE PERSON THEY WER ATTACKED BY THE ATTACKER ----EITHER WITH FISTS OR A KNIFE OR A GUN-- AND SO TO PROTECT THEMSELVES THEY PULLED A GUN OR PICKED UP A PIPE AND EITHER SHOT THE SOB ---OR JUST BEAT HIM SENSELESS???--- I BELIEVE IF APPLIED AS INTENDED OR IN SITUATIONS LIKE THESE I'VE MENTIONED THAT IT WOULD HELP SET A LOT OF THUGS & GANGSTER WANNA BE'S --- AND SOME JUST PLAIN OLD MEAN LOW LIFES BACK ON THEIR ASSES AND MAKE THEM THINK A LITTLE BEFORE THEY TRIED TO PICK OUT THEIR NEXT EASY VICTIM!!!
