Posted: 6/5/2007 8:55:19 AM | I stumbled across it too...decided to give the whole "internet dating" a serious try about a month or two ago...started with Match.com, and a few others...but i was getting sick of having to pay just to read an email someone sent me...then i did some googleing, and here i am!
Still hasn't been any easier mind, maybe i'm just not saying the right things. | |

The great thing about POF is that all of the above features are available without having to debit my credit card! | |

Found this site and decided to join, was introduced to the forums and after some time realised was actually quite happy been single (don't get me wrong, would like a missus!!), so really just been on here for the forums and to chat with my friends on IM.
Though must add have been talking to someone on here this week and is looking promising so my luck could be aboot to change | |

anyhow I joined cause my mate asked me to join just to see what was out there cause shes not one to think a womans OK to be single or on her own... HA! I was married to a navy guy and was an army bratt I do long distance and alone lol so to me its not abnormal...
i stayed because i got chatting to some top fellas who deserved to know why they were not getting the women they wanted... sadly some on here are so darn shallow... so i sorta stayed to put a few in their place and show more guys the way to happiness is to look beyond what they think they need and maybe look at women they might have passed over before on what ever grounds...
i like to hope my advice in privates helped them... and ladies what i post as testimonials I actually belive.. | |

Posted: 3/3/2008 8:54:03 AM | I feel rather silly telling you this. I became a member thinking it was a fisherman's social club. I thought I may be able to meet like minded individuals and also pick up some cheap tackle. Not a great deal of difference really, so i decided to cast my line and see if I could net a decent catch [that was in 1983]
I spend my time online confined mainly to this sites forum. I find them to be very addictive.Also the chances of being physically/ verbally assaulted or even arrested are significantly reduced online. Its a lot more precarious to be sarcastic,insulting and rude in real situations. I miss the adrenalin rush of danger & excitement you get in real life but all things considered its better than being in jail or hospital or both. | |

Now I know why not; it seldom works and I have much better luck in real life.
But.
But it's fun to come and read the forums.
It's the only UK forum I attend and it's been fun to read great analysis as well as complete flat-minds. Like all forums, I have found great people as well as court-jesters and opinion-ballerinas.
I already do a lot of internet forum work in another site where we debate politics but when I want a laugh...well...nothing beats PoF forums! | |

I am really busy during the week and find meeting people outside of my regular group of friends (who live locally) difficult. A few of my friends have met their partners here and so I decided to give it a go. I wasn't sure at first but I am finding my feet and feel far more comfortable messaging people these days. | |

I'm actually better meeting people face to face as they can see and get a better feel for me so internet dating is difficult for me but I also have a very busy life runnning several businesses so don't have the time to just go and meet people without some pre-communication. | |

She told me it was a good site BUT as yet I have not found what I am hoping for, and that is someone to meet that would be an equal partner. I am not lonely But get lonely if you know what I mean.
I am someone who likes to have someone I do things for, I find I like to do things for others. At the moment I have been working on My sisters house and not on my own, as that would be for me and I don’t get much pleasure for that, BUT if it was for someone I loved it would make it all worth while | |
