Throw in a pair of pasty white legs, and what you have there ma'am is a keeper!
It's funny cause it always seems to be the ones with psaty white sking who show their legs/feet the most.

Oh god no... Who comes up with these things?
I'm going to invent a shoe out with is just a brown paper bag with an elastic and see how many people buy it lol...

| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 10:01:24 AM | This thread is kinda funny.... I know someone who can't stand it when guys wear sandals either. It really doesn't even phase me... if they are comfortable wearing them then go for it.
But I agree with the socks and sandals look, definitely a big NO NO!!

The question then becomes... why even wear sandals if you have to wear socks?
|
| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 10:05:17 AM | i particularly like it when they wear the 3 1/2" heels with the open toes and ankle straps.
but that only works if they wear boxers.

Exactly!! Not only is it a fashion no no, but it doesn't make much sense lol
Sandals are made for men and women... it's just common sense what does and doesn't look good while wearing them. Also, it isn't something new that ladies are just saying now... we've been telling men for years NOT to wear socks with them.

| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 12:01:06 PM | I would rather see a man in sandles than a fat person wearing SPANDEX....
But thats another thread altogether.....
|
| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 1:22:10 PM | Wow, I have the double negative. I wear sandals, with socks. :-) Though, if I am dressing up, I leave the sandals at home. The socks help with wear and tear on my feet. Having your poor little feet out there, without any protection, is a bad thing. Stuff gets dropped on them, they rub when walking, etc.
With socks, the feet are BETTER protected. I have dropped heavy things on my feet with both socks and without socks. I would MUCH rather have socks. It tends to "slide" instead of stick, when it hits. It also gives some better insulation in the snow. In the summer it prevents sunburns, and prevents blindness in people having to see the whiteness of my feet. :-)
All in all, it is about comfort.

Why don't you just wear shoes?Problem solved

Wait...you're wearing sandals with socks in the snow?????? Damn dude...I thought I heard it all but this is the icing on the cake

Why don't you just wear shoes?Problem solved Feet can get sweaty, I don't like that. Feet in general get hot, and, from time to time, when my toes are all constrained, I get a minor form of claustrophobia (though, admittedly, this is an exceedingly rare occurrence). You ever notice that people that wear shoes all their lives, get the pinky toe facing inward at an odd angle? Especially women that wear a lot of shoes with pointed toes. I am not a big fan of that look. Sandals avoid it. Shoes, cause it.
Wait...you're wearing sandals with socks in the snow? Basically, to the Store, etc. Not when there is Extremely heavy snow... well, usually not. I live in an area, that in all honesty, doesn't get all that much snow. If I go to the snowy regions, I will usually wear my sandals to drive in, but wear normal shoes in the actual snow. Going to the store, out to eat, etc, around here, in the snow, is not a real problem.

| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 2:32:33 PM | Darn it. I like occasionally wearing my Teva's. Especially if I am near the river. I thought women just hated the part of wearing socks with them. No wonder they turn me down.
I'll just have to wear my big danner boots with my speedo's. That'll get 'em commin.
|
| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/11/2007 7:07:03 PM | I wouldn't normally comment on anything so inane, but I felt I must say a couple things.
Socks and sandals. Dear god fellas. Do you ever want to get laid again? EVER? This is a killer on that magical 'chemistry' chicks are always goin on about! Leave the socks at home, and even the sandals maybe.
That said, I spend much of the year in warm places where 95% of the population wears sandals 95% of the time. When I am home in the summer months I wear sandals. If my feet are turning you off, then what chance have I got anyway. I can't imagine someones' stinkin' sweaty sneakers being any 'hotter' but who knows. I obviously haven't got the female mind mastered as of yet...
Nice to know that there is yet another thing to add to the list of don'ts. A mighty long list you are getting there darlin' :)

| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/12/2007 9:15:35 AM | Well I don't mind sandals on men but they have to have nice feet in order to pull it off. Most men don't have nice feet and toes to wear sandals that bare all (sorry guys). But how about wearing fashionable summer sandals that are slip on's and more or less cover the toes? I don't find those too bad. I sort of feel sorry for men in re: to summer shoes. They're options are so limited and during the humid summer days like we have here in Canada what else are they supposed to wear? Socks and shoes? My heart goes out to you men .... especially those with gawd awful looking feet!!!
P.S. The sock and sandals thing ... that for me is a sure deal breaker. It takes me back to my college days where guys used to walk around campus with construction socks on wearing berkinstock sandals .... during the winter months to boot!!!! We always laughed and poked fun at this stupid fashion statement. Who in the hell creates such awful fashion statements anyway???? It's like walking around wearing pijama bottoms out in public ... hey that can be another thread topic ..... hmmmmm ... NAH!
|
| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/12/2007 9:26:33 AM | | *shrug* I think your feet are just as important as the rest of your body and they should be properly taken care of. Washed, clipped etc etc. Even more so if your going to wear sandals. I think there should be rules governing who should wear sandals though. I for one don't have the most flattering feet and therefore don't wear sandals often. | |
|
| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/12/2007 7:10:38 PM | I'm not even going to comment, since so many of the guys I've been attracted to wore socks and sandals
far better than wearing crocs in public. those are for GARDENING for crying out loud. There is no good reason to wear them past your property line.

| Guys and sandals Posted: 5/12/2007 7:34:33 PM | Wow Badgirl, no sandals, you don't like men in shorts, what gives? You must have a real bad time in bed with a man with all his bling hanging all over, all naked with all his bad body parts rubbing up against you. I don't see how you can stand it.
God forbid you should ever live with a man, getting out of the shower, sliding on his flip flops and robe. All that hair all over the shower stall and floor. Or getting out of bed in the morning with his boxers on, scratching his assets on the way to pee, farting all the way. Best hope he doesn't go number two....
I don't see how you put up with it.
Me? I always have my boots on,

Wow Badgirl, no sandals, you don't like men in shorts, what gives? Theory: she was a Muslim man in a past life and is instinctively offended when the opposite sex shows too much flesh.
Personally, I think guys should wear shorts. Unless they have scrawny chicken legs. Other than that - yep, should definitely show their legs. JMO.
