I told this friend of mine that he looked very nice in the clothes that he was wearing. He was surprised, happy, and appreciated the comment, he said that not even his wife ever complimented him like that.

I see an opportunity to enhance their relationship by mentioning to her that he likes that. She might appreciate the tip.

Many women on this site have profiles that are cursory, misspelled, incoherent, or all three. They appear to have taken all of five minutes to throw together. I wouldn't compliment them on either what they wrote, OR their pictures, because I wouldn't be writing them. When it's obvious they haven't bothered, why should I? To be so careless and lazy betrays that you either have very little motivation to meet a man, or that you expect to make almost no effort and yet have men pursue you. I'll pass, thanks.

^^I agree with you... and I admittedly have one of those 5 minutes (if that) profiles. It annoys me when someone sends me a "great profile"...

it's BS and obviously so.

Don't compliment unless it's sincere. We are not impressed.

Okay.

By the way, I really liked how you abbreviated "bullsh*t" in all caps like that. No, I mean it.

Okay, I think Barbra Streisand has a beautiful voice, I'll always love that song Evergreen.

I'm confused as to why there's nothing better than this.

Definitely the words. How I look is luck of the draw. What I write is who I am.
