Posted: 2/3/2008 8:44:09 PM | I became a grandma tonight at 11:36 eastern time (9:36 in Saskatoon)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stacey had a baby girl.....Isabella Ohsay ...7 lbs 5ozs. I am a proud grandma !!!!! One down and one pregnancy to go......lol..............
I was not able to make it for the delivery but I got to hear the birth on cell phone. My granddaughter has a heck of a good set of lungs..............lol....
My joy and smile could not be wider both Mother and daughter are doing wonderful!!!!!!!!!   | |

Posted: 3/17/2008 3:24:44 PM | Well, it happened Saturday, not today, but I thought of it today and it made me smile again, so that counts, right?
I was listening to "Saturday Night Blues" on the radio. (CBC Radio One, 10pm-midnight, if anybody else digs that kind of thing.) Suddenly, my cat started to purr, very loudly - and she was purring in time with the music! It's nice to know that I've brought her up right, and she has good taste in music! 
Besides that, summer is now only 98 days away! We're down to a double-digit countdown!

Some of you know that I have been here for awhile and met some fantastic people and had some really great times.
Recently I have met a lady who is "all of that and a bag of Doritos".....she is an unbelievable soul.
I have never fallen in love like I have with her.
She is my sun in the morning and my moon at night.
I haven't even had sex with her and I don't intend to until she marries me.
I know what you all are thinking...this dumb **stard is a divorce in the making.
To "Em, "Tee,"yellow" and "smurf".......you all had a significant role in getting me to this place and the invites are in the mail.
This will be my last post here as I am now gone......moving on to a place where I have wanted to be since I was 18.
I will miss all the "POF" stuff but I am now enetering the final stages of what I have spent the last 20 som eyears building.
I have met the woman who will be my wife and allow me to dote on her and take care of her eternally.
I will take my profile off in a couple of days to allow those who have come this way with me to say good bye.
Please be happy for me......as I am for you....wish me well or keep your thoughts to yourself.]

well regardless of the crappy not-so-spring-like weather.....I smiled today.
I smiled because i re-estbalished contact with a good friend i thought I had lost...and that is ALWAYS worth a smile!!
I also smiled when I saw that there are some familiar names and faces posting on here still......I haven't been on here in a while, so that was kind of nice to see.
Also I had good news recently about my sons health......AND (strange but true) good news from Revenue Canada .
So, even though it is a snowy day out there......Spring and indeed Summer are but a few short weeks away  | |

Posted: 3/27/2008 10:46:51 PM | Today, it was warm enough to have my windows down in the car...the breeze coming through the window tugged at my hair, which lead me to realize "Hey, Stephanie, you're having a great hair day". Getting out of the car at my destination, I didn't slip on the ice-- it had all melted! I was welcomed by a smiling friend, her affectionate pets and lots of laughs. ..
I smiled many times today.
*fingers crossed that Spring will start showing it's lazy head more often in coming days* | |

For what feels almost like the first time in living memory, I'm looking out my window and seeing no snow. That's definitely worth a smile.

Posted: 4/30/2008 10:02:51 AM | It wasn't today; the news came two days ago, but I held off on posting anything until I managed to calm down a little. It was one of those out-of-the-blue phone calls that change your whole world. And, yeah, it definitely brought a smile.
I was told that I'm about eight months away from being a grandfather!
Imagine that... an adorable little grandchild... and I've got eight months notice, so plenty of time to make plans for how I'm going to spoil her! (Or him.)

My daughter went to the ultrasound clinic today. It's amazing what clear pics those new hi-res ultrasounds give you... anyway, all doubt is now removed: it's a boy!
 
Not that the gender mattered much to me, but both parents had been hoping for a boy, so it's good to know they're getting their wish. After three hours, my little girl is still in a state of high euphoria, and I haven't quite returned to Earth yet, either. | |

There's another thing that makes me happy as a father. She already has, financially, socially and emotionally, a better life than I ever had, and the prospects for her future look even better. She's never going to go through what I did in getting this far. How could I not be smiling about that? | |
