Posted: 10/15/2007 8:45:33 AM | | My advice would be to go but take separate cars in case things go sideways then you can leave without relying on him to get you home. You don't want to give your power away under any circumstances by being completely dependent on him to get you home on the first date. It's always better to be cautious in this day age so do everything you can to keep yourself safe like maybe double dating with a girlfriend, bring your cell phone, tell someone where you are going and with whom and when you are expected back etc. and make sure you are in a public place when you meet him for the first time. All this may be unnecessary but it's better to be safe than sorry and I think if you take the "safety" concern off the table then you will be able to relax and enjoy the date more too. Also, it's better to meet sooner than later because you want to know right away if this is a match BEFORE you start making any emotional investment in this guy or wasting your time with someone who you are not compatible with when you could be better spending that time being open to Mr. right or right now whichever you are looking for. Also, remember to TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS they are usually right ! If something feels wrong...it is. Hope that helps. | |

Posted: 10/29/2007 10:02:33 AM | UBK has hit the nail on the head again. Most people are on their best behavior when you first meet them on line. Getting to know them outside the computer will force the chemistry to either be there or not. I am new to this site and don't want to overstep my boundries as a new member , but to look into someones eyes and feel the reflection of love back just can't be done on the computer. So to all you shakespearean reading people that live in a fantasy world , get out and meet your prince charming.  | |
