Posted: 6/4/2007 12:09:20 PM | I couldn't get into WoW, seemed too easy and bored me after only a couple sessions. FFXI ftw ^^. lol I still play it, even got a Ridill a few weeks back.. HOW COOL IS THAT? lol.
These games are all ok, and some fun, but some people take them way too far, just have to be careful I guess and remember they are for fun. When I first moved back to Calgary and didn't know anyone I probably put in 20 hrs a week, now its about 20 hrs a month, or less if a lot of stuff IRL is going on. | |

Had several lvl 60's on Deathwing, but I killed them all before the expansion came out.
I currently have a 57 warrior on Eonar, along with a few alts, and am working my way up to 70.
I also feel the urge to admit, that I have seduced my roommate into purchasing the game, and we are now WOW addicts living together!
Frightening somehow, that what used to be stimulating conversations, are now reduced to which battle tactics are most effective for the two of us going into 2V2 arenas!!!
And yes, I can stop playing, and have for extended periods of time, and I still do have a life. You can be a WOW addict and still go out on Friday night ya know...
To all you fellow gamers (old pen and paper one's as well) more power to you! You make the world a better place!

i knew the game was addictive but i figured 16 yr olds were the ones playing it. i was a big fan of warcraft and starcraft but the whole online thing thats pretty boring just walkin hackin and slashin watching the numbers get higher. when i game online i deffinatly prefer bf2 to anything. the sheer joy of sniping someone in the face is much more satisfying then killing wild boars for an experience point.

Posted: 8/1/2007 2:54:08 AM | ^^^ Why you say sadly? I dont view this as a bad thing. For one you more then likely play with folks you've befriended. For two you more than likely have a solid core of good players. So assuming the last is true it should be a good guild?
Not many guilds have this much longevity across game/servers so i see it as a huge plus. On the other end there might be some bad things. The bad player who manage to stick with such a guild are still there too....the same annoying dead weight folks who create drama....

Kimiko - 17 Night Elf Rogue - Dalaran, the only woman who really demands time out of my day. >.>
Okay, that's a horrible joke, but I switched over because a lot of close friends now play on that server, and I'm only on when they are really... so I still find myself with too much time to spare, as I cannot sit for days on end playing the game.
See, the key to all of this is moderation. Just piggy back on a friend who has a 70 and one day you'll reach it ^_^
Still...WoW cannot hold a candle to good ol' Pen and Paper DnD... I have a campaign in the making that's going to be epic... | |

Lately its been a media to talk to friends I hang out with in R/L... kinda like going out with them on the weekends, then spending the rest of the week talking to them on game. Its retarded I know... but ehh. I could give a damn. I enjoy it. Its an incredible time killer. One day when I find something a bit more interesting I will walk away. Until then, I enjoy the sureal escape from all the BS real life offers. In RL you cant slap the ever living shit out of someone or something without consequences. In WoW, you can... and you actually get rewarded for it... heh.

EQ... ahhh... those were tough days... but not nearly as tough as FFXI... now that game was damn hard to play!
Still cracking at WoW and made a fellow PoFer and addict... I'm not sure if she's happy about it but man she likes to play!
They pretty much save all the EQ characters so I'm sure I could get back on my level 70 hunter with 1000 AA's... halfling female ftw! | |

Posted: 2/26/2008 7:20:46 AM | hey, as some may say its a bad habit i do play the game from time to time, forgot the name of the server but its korialstrasz or soemthign like that and another rogue on deathwing, used to play DAoC as well palocrusher and sircrusher. i still do everything i plan on doin the game is only for the days i got nothing planned. its good if you can moderate your time and you do meet soem good ppl in it.
