How did you come to that conclusion ? 
are there not some cases where the man is fertile and the woman infertile or was that just a dream I had if so I better tell my sis inlaw thats where she is going wrong ! | |

I think that, knowing so many people who have had the heartbreak of infertility and then the joy of a child due to someone else's generosity, it is something that is so worthwhile.
I would add though that for those women who are considering it, in effect you have to go through the same process that you do for IVF (all barring the fertilised eggs being replaced!) and it can be an extremely unpleasant experience. If anyone wants to know more, please feel free to PM me.... | |

its terrible!!! i wouldnt want to be a bloke in todays world.
i wouldnt donate my eggs to anyone. they are my babies, it would worry me sick that my babies are not been taken care of properly. i just wouldnt be able to distance myself from the process. | |

It stands to reason that a black couple going down this route to get a child would want the donor to be of the same ethnicity as them. A black couple would probably not want a white donor, same as a white couple probably would not want a black donor. Common sense really. | |

A black couple would probably not want a white donor, same as a white couple probably would not want a black donor. Common sense really.

I'd always be a bit disturbed that there was a mini version of me out there and I didn't know about it.
This bit bugs me as well. Perhaps I'm ignorant, but I don't see the point of this kind of treatment when there are so many kids in need of foster homes. | |

not sure about donating my eggs, if I had wanted to do it, I would have done it years ago, when my eggs were ripe! If my sister had infertility problems I think I maybe would to her, but I would be feeling that she was carrying my baby and I`m not sure I`d be able to cope with that! | |

If they provided that 'service', they'd probably have no problems finding men willing to donate pmsl.
It would be interesting to hear how women would feel about being with a partner who'd previously donated sperm, and the possibility of an 18 year old turning up on their doorstep one day looking to discover who their father is. | |
