Embracing my girlfriend in a big long-lasting hug and kissing her in the forehead, knowing that she feels safe, protected and loved. Always makes me feel warm inside.
I don't know would it have the same effect if i tried it on one of the lads

| The one thing you miss most when you are single Posted: 11/16/2007 7:59:05 PM | During the holidays I get kinda sappy. Going through a divorce and empty nest at the same time left a big void, but I fill it wih every bit of joy I can muster.
The family traditions I was good at keeping are no more. But I've made some new ones with new friends, new home and a life I love.
I'm healthy and have a new grandbaby to lovel. There's so much to be thankful about, but I do have fond memories I try to keep in my heart always.

| The one thing you miss most when you are single Posted: 11/16/2007 9:18:43 PM | | I've been single a LONG time and this may sound a little selfish, but I miss those small surprises...Honey I filled your car up with gas, cleared the snow from your windshield, watered your flowers for you, bought you an ice cream. After so many years of being single, it gets hard to do everything yourself. I also miss doing nice things for someone...cooking his favorite meal, cleaning his muddy boots just to see the surprise on his face and NOT complaining about his mother when she acted terrible. Oh well...now I'm depressed! | |

However, the thing I miss most is a hug after a bad day and hearing, "don't worry, everything is going to be okay", whether he believes it or not.

| The one thing you miss most when you are single Posted: 11/17/2007 5:11:29 AM | Well, gee whiz...I thought "what do I miss, nothing I'm ok with being single?"....
Then I read all those lovely things and got real sad....miss all the good stuff. Falling asleep in his arm, waking up in his arms. Seeing the hunger in his eyes. The private little jokes that no one else knows. Having someone here to help with things I can't do by myself.

| The one thing you miss most when you are single Posted: 11/17/2007 5:21:19 AM | Me too whistful.
I miss having someone to snuggle with and falling asleep cudled up to someone.
Also, i miss touching. Not touching that leads to the obvious, but when you have reached the stage where you touch each other when you pass in the kitchen (stroke the hair, hug, quick kiss on the cheek etc) and carry on with what you were doing.
I suppose it's the intimacy of being close to someone i miss.

I miss looking into some ones eyes and seeing how they see you and knowing through their eyes that you are their everything, their world, their security, their life, their true love, the way their eyes light up when you walk into the room.
I sooooo agree ^
I miss that feeling of belonging, knowing that I alone complete his existence, that I am the first thing he thinks about every morning when he wakes and the thought in his mind as he drifts off to sleep every night. I miss that feeling of closeness/oneness when I am in his arms to where I still can't help but wish it were humanly possible to be even closer.. to crawl up inside of him. And I miss our lovemaking... where it was soooo much more than merely a physical/sexual act. I felt more than just his body being a part of my body, I felt his emotions... I felt his soul.
