"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite."

~William Blake

"Error is Created. Truth is Eternal.
Error, or Creation, will be Burned up, & then, & not till Then, Truth or Eternity will appear.
It is Burnt up the Moment Men cease to behold it.
I assert for My Self that I do not behold the outward Creation & that to me it is hindrance & not Action; it is as the Dirt upon my feet, No part of Me.

"What," it will be Question'd, "When the Sun rises, do you not see a round disk of fire somewhat like a Guinea?"
Oh no, no, I see an Innumerable company of the Heavenly host crying, 'Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty.'
I question not my Corporeal or Vegetative Eye any more than I would Question a Window concerning Sight. I look thro' it & not with it."

Did you ever see a bird that has the blues?
One reason why birds and horses are not unhappy is because they are not trying to impress other birds and horses."

that leads me to a quote I know not its origins ... but I'v heard many times.

"Any so-called material thing that you want is merely a symbol:
you want it not for itself, but because it will content your spirit for the moment."

~Mark Twain

I want to comment on this one. I want to change the material thing to mean any material thing beyond what is needed for survival. Any time you are hungry, thirsty or cold, your spirit sits by waiting while you go and find food, drink and shelter. And yet, this is the journey that often leads us to a greater spirit...that of compassion for those less fortunate, and we learn fortitude, perserverence, hope and the benefit of faith, if we have chosen to use it.

To separate out from the identity as the One is to fragment the energy...

"Make the time that you have on earth full to do what it takes to move from fear that hides under your anger into love.
Love replacing fear is truly an alchemical process that will transform you.
Pointing to the here and now of coming back to the caravan to be the True Self of who you truly are. Come back to yourself. The time is now."

~Lynne Namka Ed. D.

“Don’t go off sightseeing,
The real journey is right here.
The great excursion starts from exactly where you are.
You are the world.

You have everything you need.
You are the secret.
You are the wide opened.
Don’t look for the remedy for your troubles outside yourself.

You are the medicine.
You are the cure for your own sorrow.”

~Sufi mystic Jelal-ud Din Rumi

Live in the world like a waterfowl. The water clings to the bird, but the bird shakes it
off. Live in the world like a mudfish. The fish lives in the mud, but its skin is always
bright and shiny.

"There are hundreds of tasks we feel we must accomplish in the day,

as do the grains of sand passing through the narrow neck of the hourglass,
then we are bound to break our own physical and mental structure."

I use to think I was Patrick Swayze, but then he died and I was still alive. It was then that I realized that I wasn't actually Patrick Swayze, but rather Tony Danza. Is he still alive?
