Posted: 10/23/2007 1:39:01 AM | While you may have trouble finding those of us who are single, young, no kids, with morals and a direction in life.... we have trouble finding decent, honest, non-drug users who wont verbally or physically abuse us. Of course, I come from a small town at a very nice distance from the big city. My girlfriends and I would love to find a guy our age that we didn't go to school with, who also has no kids, and wants to start something serious and long term. Us WA Ladies without kids are here, we just only go to the city to sightsee. So fellas~ Try expanding your search to the whole state and not the yuppie single parent capitol.

Posted: 10/23/2007 3:07:29 AM | look this is the thing. alot of the times the couple don't think of what will happen or do know but to naive to care that there bringing a life into this world. comming from a single mother i have to say this. that mother is playing with a life that can turn around and bite her back if she not careful. Yes you are good to your kids but most of the people in the prison system come from single family homes. also they have dead beat dads, some kind of addiction mother weather it drugs chain smoker or alcoholic that male or female mimic there surrounding's and become what they see. to think that the mother or father would be there to teach them everything they need to know in life? no the the tech of the world will. Often i see single mothers that have kids and they go aroufn and think there shit don't stink. but there like reissue goods. Yes you had a Ex that treated you bad. but you chose them not the other way around..... man i'm tired i'm going to sleep now hearing about how more and more single females have kids with no thought of there action make me sick..  | |

I don't have any kids and I think thats because i am actually responsible and dont have sex with the first guy i meet.
If I had sex with the first guy I met my kid would be 24 instead of 9!

Ex significant others of mine and I have tried for this, pregnancy has yet to come for me, and is in God's hands. Even though I'd prefer to be more financially stable before starting a family, not to mention at least have a LTR. As other people mentioned, so it may be Washington has a high/highest rate of women with children per capita US? Where I'm originally from it's more fashionable to have a career and home before children, so not sure what people prefer out this way as of yet. | |

I first want to say I understand if someone makes a choice to not date single mothers. I think that it would be hard for me to date a guy without children right now. We are on different chapters in life. But I am certainly not going to judge someone on whether they are a single parent, especially not to the point of making us all sound like a bunch of tramps.
My husband and I were married for 10 years. Yes we planned on forever. He is a really great guy, a good dad, who loves his kids, and we still have a love for each other, but more a very strong friendship. I am a very driven person, he wanted someone to stay home and be the happy homemaker. I thought I could do it for him, but found myself losing who I was. We were going two different ways. Not planned but it happens. But, we still spend most all of our holidays as a family. Yes the two youngest would like us back together, but not the older ones. They remember what it was like. We are all a lot happier now.

Also never married; 18 years in the Bering Sea fishing industry had something to do with that...I find that every woman that I know my age (45) has kids grown up or in the home...I've been noticing men that want to have children in their 40's and don't have them yet.  | |

I was born and raised in Seattle, worked in the Bering Sea fishing industry when there were no sexual harrasment laws and I welcome some friendly "play". I've never attempted to sue anyone for "sexual harrasment"; quite the opposite. I tolerated it and considered the source. I don't need to sue anyone to earn my money. I'm 45 years young, seriously independent, child free, drug free and looking for a man who isn't intimidated by a strong woman. (I've scared off one date by being able to start the gas powered hedge trimmer when he could not...)
I will never scurry away quickly with eyes and head cast down. I'll return the look with direct unwavering eye contact. Please do not categorize Seattle women. I've been living in Tacoma for 8 years, but spend alot of time in Seattle. I'm a Seattle native. | |

One thing I have noticed is that you all are in the (what the city folk call) the boonies/ B. F. E. Of course they are going to have kids.....they moved the BFE (most likely with the person that gave them the kids) to raise a family. If you want to find women without children then you might want to come to Seattle.
Also this is a two way street. There are ALOT of guys on this sight that also have kids and I feel the same way about them. They are cute but I don't want to be a mom for them. A cat is enough for me. | |

Luckily I like kids or I'd have a hard time dating in my age group. As someone mentioned earlier, it seems like a majority of single men 30ish and older have kids. There's nothing wrong with that as long as they acknowledge their responsibility. It's a shame people don't give single Moms more of a chance. If they have custody of their children then obviously they're doing something right and taking responsibility. A lot more than you can say for some of the single Dads out there. | |
