If I skip or miss your perception of the perfect parking spot that will bring harmony and peace to earth, relax OK, I am not Mr. life destructor who has sought to bring an end to humanity.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 11/26/2007 8:25:47 PM | Common sense stuff, but what drives me up the wall is women who can't eat without closing their mouths or when they are finished suck their fingers instead of using a napkin.
Table manners seems to be non-existent, I've seen seemingly normal women who are confused by a knife, or how to hold a fork. I'm not talking about dinner with the Queen and a 20 piece place setting, I mean at a pub eating a steak! Or talking with food in their mouths, chew and swallow first.
It may be a cute quirk but it gets old fast.

In fact, I can't believe I'm gonna say this. The last girl who I met from here, the first time she called me on my cell she was at an AA meeting. I know most women would run if a man did that. I try and be accepting as I can.

Evidently this starts early. Last week my 16 year old daughter, who does not even have her driver's license yet, criticized my parking on the street because although my front wheels were next to the curb, my rear wheels where 3 inches from it. Obviously I should not be driving, or parking.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 11/29/2007 6:07:12 PM | Ill add two;
Don't dismiss my behavior as "typical male behavior." I do/say things because they are who I am and not because they are presumed normal male behaviors.
The second is related but in a strange sort of way kind of the opposite;
I never want to hear the words "Most guys _______." I'm not most guys. I don't want to be most guys. I don't care about most guys. I have my own standards, strengths, likes and dislikes and I don't need to be compared against any other man, ever. Suggesting that I'm not as much of a man because I don't like, do, say or want the same things most guys do is belittling and degrading. The day I care what most guys do is the day I become a woman.

I'll make it a little clearer.
In your post you listed strange/wierd/nuts/crazy etc as one grouping and put it halfway down.
INfact it belongs at the top of the tree.
NUTS is the one to top then all and an abusive nutter, ie a husband basher, is the worst of the lot.
Hipocrisy and double standars scoresas a majorturn off too. ie the husband basher who boasts about the numbre of time she beat him up but still howls that she is a victim and all men ar e barstards.
IN fact that "all men" generalisation is the bigges t turnoff of the lot.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 12/17/2007 6:25:51 PM | | the women on this thread only make sense, UK sizes are UK12=US10. I think. I have no idea how a woman could be a size 8 or even 10, some guy put the 'phone down on me when I didn't answer that one straight away because I am not a standard size and somewhere between 12 and 14 UK, but he hadn't said anything interesting anyway and I would never criticise a guy whatever his size except to piss him off in revenge for having a go at me. Anything with a low IQ isn't even worth pissing off. | |

Inability to live with her own decisions. Meanness toward animals, children, old people. Unusually clingy unusually soon in the relationship. All about her.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 12/23/2007 9:52:31 PM | A woman who thinks she's better than the rest of the planet and announces herself the newest queen of the universe and nothing is ever good for her because she is just so damn special that the next woman walking down the side walk just wishes she could be her....but I digress. | |

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 12/23/2007 9:54:22 PM | It's a major turn-off if: a woman has a seemingly endless number of exes that all get described with unflattering adjectives such as "loser", "scumbag", "player", "liar", "jerk","phony" etc.. It's understandable that a woman may have at least one relationship that's not too good, and she'll have a low opinion of the guy. But several such relationships???
This tells me that the person has either: -spent too much of her life dating "losers" and/or -she just responds to break-ups, or failed relationships, by immediately announcing that the guy's a "jerk" or a "loser" Either one of those situations is a turn-off to me.
-If the woman always has relationships with jerks, criminals, or cheaters: then she likely doesn't have the types of values, or the level of common sense,that I've been hoping to find in a partner. or -If she just labels every guy who's come into her life as a "lying jerk": I likely wouldn't date her, because the very second that things aren't working out, for any reason, she'll be publicly announcing to the world that I'm a lying scumbag. Whether I did anything to earn that title or not.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 12/23/2007 9:56:34 PM | It's a huge turn-off to me to see someone, who's a parent of a young-child/children, but still seems to live a real "bar-star" lifestyle.
I guess I shouldn't be too judgemental of someone else's parenting, since I'm not a parent myself. But if I see a person who seems to place a much higher priority on her party lifestyle, than on her responsilities as a parent, I likely have absolutely no interest in considering a relationship with her. She quite likely has a different set of values than I do. Also, if it seems that her own children aren't a huge priority in her life, than she's certainly not someone who may someday make a suitable mother for my children.

| Guys - what are major turn off's for you that we WOULDNT guess at? Posted: 4/23/2008 8:04:00 PM | Having stumbled across this thread, my curiosity compelled me to see what strange things were put forward as unusual turn-offs. Most seemed to be the usual sort, but there were a couple that interesting... didn't realize that people might take the choice of how to cook a steak so seriously. lol
My own quirk is surprisingly similar. For some reason I am disturbed by a person who can never order anything off of a menu without some kind of substitution. Once in a while I can make an allowance, but when it is habitual, it drives me nuts.
