| Why do some guys that look too handsome to be real go for average are ugly women?
Posted: 12/18/2007 11:25:40 AM | | Many people are not so shallow as to give physical appearance a major emphasis when choosing a potential mate! Personally, I don't like to date the stereo-typical "good looking" men. I find that the "average joe" has a much personality, and is willing to be a better person overall, than "howard handsome", who thinks looking like a stud should be enough to make a woman happy. | |

Posted: 12/18/2007 12:00:56 PM | Beautiful women are often just plain harder to date. Many of them have traded on their looks their entire lives, and as a result haven't developed emotionally as they should have.
I can't tell you how many former trophy wives I've met here on POF who were traded in for a younger model, or cheated on, or whatever. Some have used that very sobering experience for personal growth, examined what happened and how they found themselves in that situation, taken a good long long look at their values and priorities, and have become very fine and down to earth women. Some didn't learn a damn thing, and will make the exact same mistakes all over again.
Bottom line for me - and admittedly I'm just an average Joe - but I'd take an average or above average woman with good values and her head on straight over a gorgeous diva any day of the week.

However plenty of men would date an average looking woman. Maybe she had a nice personality. Maybe they have similiar beliefs and values. Maybe they have the same lifestyle or interests. Maybe she is very intelligent. Maybe it's some combination or all of these factors. | |

but it is probably sooooooooooo true
and other posts are true too
they are easier and sooooooooo grateful just to have a man
they dont critisize or expect much
but howwwwwwwww boring for the man after a while I would think
or unless she is really loving and an amazing woman INSIDE
but for men to pick that is rare esp a grt looking one
sometimes its cause the guys are gay and they dont want to admit it
and they pick woman who are the closest ones to looking male
