| Why do some guys that look too handsome to be real go for average are ugly women?
Posted: 10/3/2005 2:13:20 PM | I have never noticed this phenomenon before...You usually see very attractive women with homely men...because at least the homely guys try hard and are not usually players. Perhaps the same can be said for the attractive man/homely woman syndrome?
Then again...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and what appeals to Mr Attractive may not appeal to you!

There is a word in italian we use often, and I have yet to find an english translation..."simpatico" which means, a person that you might not look twice at, but with their words and actions they become beautiful in your eyes....kudos to those men that aren't arrogant, and realize that beauty doesn't last, but personality does! | |

Maybe they believed I was fishing for a compliment (no). It was my own honest assessment of myself, that's all. I also was quite intriqued when I read an article in a men's magazine where people were asked to describe their favorite physical feature in their mate and was delighted to read that they preferred stuff like crooked toes, scars and other imperfections that had nothing at all to do with what we traditionally consider 'beautiful'. What deems a man handsome or a woman ugly? | |

I personally dont like the word ugly, ugly is for people like Charles Manson, Bin Laden , Paul Benardo and his Ugly wife (those in Canada knows what im talking about)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, personally I think of my looks are Ok,some agree and some dont, and my friends, family, associates think i have a good heart and thats what matters, i personally think, no one is ugly except for the aforementioned .
How many people who by society calls on the outside "beautiful" but as soon as you get to know them , they dont appear as attractive as you first thought. | |

Actually, there was a study that suggested that physical attractiveness only lasts for a short period of time. Hence why the divorce rate is so high, because once the physical attractiveness was over, so was the relationship ( studies suggest it lasts between six months to two years). Love comes in many fashions, physical love, platonic love,... Basically the more common interests one has with the other the better the chances for a healthy relationship. Going back to the previous topic, people give emphasis on different qualities... | |

This is not me but my friend has coined the termed "cosmetically-challenged" for someone who is ugly. I personally never liked that word and feel that beauty comes from the inside out.

A women that is not so hung up on herself,that she can't see beyond her mirror.
If you check some of these real Beauties profiles,some have the IQ of a Sand Flea,and would be just as irritating to be with in time,but fools will add them to there favorite lists,just cause they show 5 pics,with cleavage or T-backs.
And besides average women are the real deal in the bedroom.
It may not be true for all,but I have been with both types more then once,and that is how I see it. | |

When I met her for the first time I was somewhat surprised. She was very plain looking and no she didn't have a terrific personality. He obviously saw a great person underneath her looks though. By the way, that was about 16 years ago, he put on about a 75lbs. No longer Mr. handsome. If your hooking up with someone, because of their looks, you better look deeper. Everyone will change over time. | |

Posted: 5/2/2006 11:33:41 AM | | this will probably offend some people but I am only stating facts based upon what I have found in real life...the reason why most great looking men are with average looking women is because GREAT LOOKING women are straight b itches for the most part..for real..they think that they ONLY DESERVE the RICHEST, HOTTEST, Man and blah blah blah....now as far as the other side of the coin goes (so that I dont appear to be a woman hater)..LOL..many great looking women are also with average looking men cuz they are tired of arrogant a sshole rich, good looking men playing them or acting a fool cuz they can get any woman any time cuz of their looks or money...(women act the same way) the ironic part about this whole scenario is that we all learn the hard way..men will date hot looking sexy stripper type babes over and over cuz they look SOO HOTTT and love to make an impression on their friends and other men when they see him with a MODEL TYPE woman..(it is a male ego thing)..and women will find the hottest, richest dudes and date them until we all learn that all that shit is TRIVIAL when it comes to real love and beauty which is INSIDE.....LMAO...we are all so stupid and hard headed....money, sex, and physical beauty are tools of the devil...LOL..hence when they are used wrong we never benefit (in the end) the way that we wanted...God is a smart God isnt he? | |

Posted: 6/18/2006 2:24:00 PM | Because those "too handsome to be real" men know better than to go for the dumb blond looks (no offense to the intelligent blondes out there).I think they are not shallow and they care about what's on the inside more than they care about what's on the outside.Besides, beauty is subjective.I mean I think Brad Pitt is ugly, but more than half the world thinks he is handsome.So go figure........
