SECURITY! Men that are insecure date down or date women less attractive then they are, or less educated then they are when they have low self-esteem or are insecure. Remember, just because a guy is good looking does NOT always mean he is secure! They know that they are far less likely to be rejected by a less attractive woman or a woman that can't match his wits in a good debate. I've seen it happen fairly frequently. There are alot of men out there that actually don't realize how good looking they are. And if a man fears rejection, the less attractive, less intelligent, lower-class woman will be "comfortable" for him. A man with good self-esteem and confidence who doesn't have an unrealistic fear of rejection would rarely, if ever, date down.
And guess what? Women do that same thing all the time. Just because a woman might be extremely attractive doesn't mean she has confidence. It has a lot to do with upbringing and how well her parents instilled and fostered a healhty self-esteem in their children. Looks are not everything. Good looking people get rejected all the time. Often it is because they don't love themselves, have a positive self image or confidence in themselves.
Yes, that is why some very good looking men date ugly women and some good looking women date ugly men. | |

If your woman aint got no class, go ahead and marry her any way, and if she's ugly I don't mind, take it from me she's a better catch

Depends.
Some guys have low standards. Some guys don't care about looks as much as personality. Maybe she gives unbelievable head! Maybe most women in his league were too high maintenance for his tastes. Maybe maybe maybe.
There's tons of reasons for mismatched (visually) couples. It's not my problem, who cares. | |

Posted: 8/6/2006 4:04:24 AM | maybe he is a good person and it not about how she looks but its about how she treats him and how much of a good person she is. A lot of good looking chicks think they can use their looks to get men to do what they want but the men have no respect for them!

Posted: 8/6/2006 5:27:07 AM | We all have a different take on beauty. So what might look "ugly" to you, might look beautiful to some other person.
I'm myself seriously bored with the types of people that are always judging other people the way they look.
Yes, of course there has to be attraction and bladi blaa, but attraction to another person is not complitely based on looks.
I run from people who has nothing else to discuss except how they look and how other people look.
That is only my little opinion.

Posted: 8/16/2006 10:26:28 AM | Maybe the people that are posting this "crap" are having a hard time dealing with not having that "special someone" because they don't like themselves. If you can't like yourself, how do you expect someone to like you for you?
I think this is really what it boils down to. You have never walked in any persons shoes, don't judge people based on apperance. I have guys friends in the past that while intially I was not attracted they won me over with their charm. (And I remember thinking, why did'nt I do this a long time ago). It pointless to wonder about it really, as long as they are happy why would you care? | |

Sometimes people fall for the connection not the plastic surgery. And honestly people take this " hot " thing as a JOKE .. please never forget theres not one model or actor / actress out there In the mags that hasnt been cut Into shape had their features changed and then air brushed to the max .. male or female. Ie they dont really look that way. So why does the average Jo on the street use them as a ranking for real people who are as the day they were born? Not sliced nipped and readjusted to make money from the end result?
And more so why do we care who other people choose to be with? How does It concern us If they are ugly to us? Its NOT us who needs to be In their company 24/7. | |

Maybe they have a few drinks...and a night's sexual encounter together, but when it comes down to the wire... Prima Donnas and Primo Donnatellos are so stuck on themselves...together they couldn't muster up enough consideration for one another to sustain a cold virus! That's why SOME (not all) go for someone unnattractive...The unattractive individual is so overwhelmed with having someone with great looks...they'll do ANYTHING the Beefcake/Bombshell dictates...
