Long nails are heinous and garish
I keep mine medium long and keep them filed and polished and I think they look classy and beautiful...very feminine. I have never had someone tell me they were garish, let alone heinous! Your the first woman I have ever heard say something like that. You have a right to your opinion but all I can do is say ????????????????????
I picture those that live in trailers, with three inch roots chewing gum. Yeah, that's hot
Huh? I haven't heard such a judgmental/stereotypical comment in quite some time and in an innocent thread about fingernails?
Wow!! I think you could use a nice day at the spa to get a relaxing massage and maybe get your nails done  | |

I keep them about a quarter inch long and always ge women saying they love them, and guys too. I do a french style, but with colored acrylic instead of polish so they dont chip. As for germs, I keep mine extremely clean and sanitary. | |

Posted: 12/17/2008 6:01:28 PM | Onemoretime...no, you did not hit a nerve with me, as I do not fall into any of the stereotypical examples you said...I just thought you were a bit harsh w/ your trailer trash talk. I have very nice apartment in a wonderful residential area, drive a nice Mazda 3, have a great paying job in a prestigious company and do not have three inch roots. So, no nerve struck~I simple said my piece, as you did.
I have read many of your posts and like your blunt style-it is a lot like mine, I just felt you were a bit harsh this time~ but no biggie...I am still a fan of your attitude/posts.

Posted: 12/17/2008 8:36:12 PM | I change the length of my quite often. It really depends on my mood. During the winter I like them a short and neat w/a french manicure or dark polish and longer(not claw-like) and bright in the summer!
I keep the toes painted and taken care of all-year-long because I like to take care of myself. Long or short it doesn't matter as long as they are clean, pretty and manicured(by manicurist or done-at-home). Lets face it length doesn't matter much if a woman has gross dirty fingernails! | |

Posted: 2/14/2009 9:02:54 AM | | i keep mine done with rounded edges, i like them long enough to see the tips past the finger, anything longer and it becomes a polish maintenance hassle. i don't do the acrylic stuff. i do like using my nails to tease with though, lightly run against his skin while making out and so on. what i don't like is seeing guys with long pinky nails. it looks gay and is for what? a cocaine wannabe statement? or a tool to grab the irritating boog? thats why we have kleenex. i do like men who keep their nails in good shape. nothing worse than having him touch you with a hangnail -ouch! | |
