| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 12:55:12 PM | | I have heard that guys love it. I have heard that they don't care either way. Until this forum, I never saw a guy see it as a bad thing. It has always had a sexy connotation. If I were you, I'd try it. You can always take it out in the future. | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 1:07:37 PM | | Mine doesn't impede my speech, nor does it interfere with eating... It depends on the size of the stud you use, and where the piercing is. It's totally a personal decision...if it's something you want for yourself, then go for it. | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 1:33:33 PM | Personally I think they're very attractive on women. However, it's probably a good idea to get one that's back a little bit so you can hide it at work if you need to, etc. | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 1:55:24 PM | I got my tongue pierced about a 3 months ago. I love it. Its sexy, and Ive gotten a good reaction from the opposite sex. It comes in handy sometimes. yes, u can chip your tooth, but just be careful when u eat! when i got it pierced it was harmless. I went to a really good pierced here in colorado, and it didnt hurt too bad. I only ate icee's for a week! haha I have 7 piercings, and the tongue was the least painful, and the healing process wasnt bad at all. it didnt swell up at all. DONT DRINK ALCOHOL FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS AFTER GETTING IT DONE. it swells up and hurts really bad | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 2:14:53 PM | I vote Yay. As someone posted before, it's your body poke holes in it if you want to. Besides, a relationship is about the person not weither or not they have chunks of metal in them or not. And worse come to worse you could take it out...but i still vote yay! they do make oral better in my experience and they're fun to play with when you're bored | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 4:04:50 PM | Meh either way.
Those that say they make a diffrence must be alot more sensitive than me, I cant really tell one way or the other.
However, I sure know I havent ever had a girl complain about mine. :P

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 4:09:46 PM | Sometimes, when I meet a woman with a tongue ring.
I'll ask her, fashion? or felatio? *LOL*
The response is usually the latter, and to be honest, I dont mind that it is for felatio !!

If my SO had one or wanted to get one then she would have my support. If she didn't that is also her choice.
I still think it is sxy, erotic and exotic.

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 4:49:35 PM | | Personally, I think if you have to ask what people think in a forum then you probably are doing it for the wrong reasons and should not go through with it. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 5:00:15 PM | | Tongue rings are just gross. It doesn't attract me in the least bit. Plus, the number 1 reason people get it done is for oral sex. The people I have known who got it done said that was there primary reason also for getting it. Disgusting. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/24/2007 5:05:40 PM | All of the people I know that had tongue rings ended up taking them out for good right after they started to wreck their teeth. Plus, add the risk of infection when you first get it. It's a pretty bad idea. But if it's something you really want, go for it. | |

Those that say they make a diffrence must be alot more sensitive than me, I cant really tell one way or the other. As far as naughty uses, they really don't make much difference. The "bj enhancement" factor is not why I find them attractive :P

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 12:52:05 AM | | Yes, anything beyond normal earrings, yuk ! It's like looking thru a damm issue of National Geographic to me. Maybe it's just the era I grew up in... | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 1:03:13 AM | Ok guys I have my tongue pierced twice, along with other various peircings.
I have never had a problem with my tongue piercings, I had them positioned so you cant see them when I talk. no one notices them until I show them off.
They really are a personal choice. they are not for everyone but most people I know like them.
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 1:15:52 AM | | Well, you should do what you wish - it's your tongue. But, it might be a good idea for you to talk to your dentist first - I bet he could tell you about some of the damage he's seen from them. Personally, I wouldn't want to date someone with one, and I'd NEVER get one. That's just me. You have to make up your own mind. Good luck! (remember - if you don't like it, you can remove it.) | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 5:18:56 AM | Carrie127, thats a brave move to get your tounge pierced at your age, not saying you are too old but its what other people say, l had both nipples pierced at about 40 and got some bad vibes from certain mates and family members.
Good luck to you. | |

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 6:23:43 AM | | I like tongue rings on a woman. It's not something they have to have, but if I see one, I don't knock it. It looks cool. And no... I don't "assume" anything about the woman. I just like the way they look on them. I find it sexy. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 7:04:49 AM | I only had mine done a month ago. It was a spur of the moment thing. I think I am going through an early mid-life crisis.
I really don't know where people on here get the infection from?? If you practice good oral hygiene you shouldn't have any problems. I don't have the tendency to play with mine either. I changed mine to a small gold stud. It's much comfier than the one they did the piercing with and I don't feel it at all.
If you want it go for it! :) I was talking with a lisp for about a week due to my tongue swelling, and I had trouble eating solid foods for a few days. That's it. No big deal!

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 7:08:24 AM | I haven't dated a guy with one but I think they look pretty hot and wouldn't mind it. My son has one placed pretty far back and it doesn't affect his speech at all, you can't even tell he has one unless he shows it.

| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 7:39:25 AM | | So Tysta are you going for it or will it be a lot of thinking, at least you can take your son along for moral support, good luck to you if you go for it. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 7:45:48 AM | | Nay for myself, but a woman w/ a "corporate" one holds some appeal ...as long as the rest of her makes the grade in my understanding world. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 8:55:01 AM | | I definitely have to say "yay." They aren't a necessity, but they do feel good and look pretty hot. And having my own tongue pierced seems to go over pretty well with others. But why stop at one? One on each side rather than just one in the centre was amazing. | |
|
| Tongue Rings: yay or nay? Posted: 6/25/2007 9:09:11 AM | to me they are no big deal, kind of boring, they are so common.
also so many people seem to think that having one makes them soooooooo special...
they have to constantly flick out their tongues like a bullfrog catching flies to make sure EVERYONE notice that they have one!
