These things can chip your front teeth or break off a cusp on the back teeth, if your choppers happen to glance off a tongue piercing the wrong way.
Not that I'm complaining.. Repairing that sort of damage is my bread-and-butter.  | |

Never once had any problems with it (no chipped teeth, problems at work etc...) or any complaints (everyone I have been with LOVED it, especially the vibrating ones that Spencers sells lol). When I got mine it did swell for about 3 days and it SUCKED! But I think it was well worth it as it gives me something to do (helps to play with it if u want to quit smoking) when im bored and I am very good at using it with the ladies!!!!

My mother would not approve. I do not really like the guy she is seeing though, so it all balances out. | |

I havnt chipped any teeth, havnt gotten a lisp whether or not i have it in or out, if work frowns on it you can get a plug, and some guys say it makes a difference in the oral department, some day it doesnt...it all depends on what the guy likes. The only time i regretted doing it was on the third day (the absolute WORST day) I thought my tounge was going to fall off! Just remember, no beer, wine, or oral pleaures for a month or two, seasalt rinces after ANYTHING goes in your mouth and antibactiral (sp?), alchohol free mouth wash 3 times daily (biotene is the best) and dear god stock up on ice lol. If you don't get it you will probably regret it and remember, it closes fast if you change your mind | |

I say, as long as you don't have much risk of infection, or dealing with infection down the road, then go for it! There are plenty of people still that don't think it's "disgusting" and "trashy"  | |

Posted: 4/29/2008 7:02:57 AM | | well im 51 years old ...never had a piercing till i turned 50 ...then i had my mid life i like to call it adventure ..some call it a crisis...but whatever ....i bought a motorcycle and changed my out look on life .....on a dare i got my ear pierced ..but i liked it so i kept it ...then again this year on a dare i got my tongue pierced ...i didnt expect to keep it ...but i had an unexpected benefit ...you see i have bitten my finger nails for most of my life...i have tryed everything in my power to stop this nasty habit ..unsuccessful except for short times ..then i would get nervous or upset and next thing i knew i was bitting my nails again ....i have had my tongue pierced for 8 months and from the moment it was done ...to my surprise i have not even wanted to bite my nails ...and i never knew this was benefit of tongue piercing until it happened to me ...now i didnt intend to keep my tongue ring but it is a hell of a lot better than the nasty habit it replaced ...i wish i had done it forty years ago ...i dont know as i have NEVER smoked but i hear a tongue piercing is instrumental in breaking that habit also ..and i can believe it ...as i dont know why it stopped my need to bite my nails ..i just know it did ...a hole in my tongue did instantly what i have tried to do for 40 years ..Go figure...can you say serendipity | |
