| what is a real woman? Posted: 6/19/2007 2:48:50 PM | This isn't really an answer to the question. It did make me think of something, though. I find it amusing when women with fake nails, tons of make-up, hair extensions or weave, fake color contact lenses, and 4 inch or more heels in order to make them appear to be taller..... say that they want a "real" man. | |

| what is a real woman? Posted: 6/19/2007 5:44:06 PM | | Oh my goodness! I see we are still clinging to our feminine archetypes even in this day and age. lol. I understand that some mens real women posts are just ideals, that they like to have in their heads, but my, they're a lot to live up to,.. I need to be Mother Thersa (God Bless her) , Florence nightingale,.. A pioneer. A strong opinionated woman who defer to her man (contradiction in there somewhere) and an Earth mother who can change a tyre, build a house and have about eight zillion children round my ankles, whilst also pouring out my compassion on the world in general. Whoa!! Thats exhausting to type, let alone try to be. A woman is a Human being with a uterus,.. in its most pedantic sense.. we are all different,.. Most of the qualities listed are just what both sexes want in each other,.. compassion, kindness, strength etc. i have to agree with ugly betty on that particular issue about motherhood though, although it is the persons right to have their opinion, i do find being called selfish because I wish not to have children offensive too. I find it more selfish and irresponsible to keep having children if you have no intention of loving them or looking after them. Love, kindness and compassion and nurturing are not exclusive to women or to mothers.. all of us have this potential.. I did sort of wonder about the last line of the OP's question, you know about asking what makes a real woman so we can become the real women you would want us to be sort of thing? Hmm. we are all by definition real women, if born female,.. we will all be different.. never try to be something youre not for someone else,.. having the courage to be yourself is maybe a 'real woman' trait eh? thanks xx | |

Define it for yourself, and find a guy who is fine with that. | |

| what is a real woman? Posted: 4/9/2008 4:19:08 PM | | a real woman has respect for herself and her man, a real woman doesn't need to be treated like crap. a real woman doesn't need to be cheated on or beaten or abused just to keep the excitement in the relationship. a real woman knows that if a man treats her decent it's not because he's a doormat but because he loves you. a real woman wants a guy that will treat her right right from the start not want someone to treat her like crap at first just to get her attention then wonder why he feels he has to treat her like crap to keep her. a real woman knows her kids and family comes first. a real woman doesn't need to see how many guys she can get to hit up on her. | |
