Posted: 4/10/2008 5:37:25 PM | if a man has had a dark past and turned his life around, thats a great asset to me, so him being in jail wouldnt scare me. one of my best friends has faced life in prison and has been a healer for 15 years now, doing anything from RC counseling, to domestic violence intervention, to 15 years clean and sober AA programs, to scare-straight interventions for young convicts (where an ex con talks to a young offender about jail systems and lifestyles to scare them into being straight and turning their life around) and so on. he is proof that sometimes one needs to learn the hard way who they don't want to be.
what would send me running would be, for sure, any signs of being a sociopath or having emotional and psychological traits of a serial killer, or pedophile, or u having fantasies about necrophilia.
even w that, i'd not run away, i'd still be intrigued to understand. i watch dexter, for example, i love the show - it teaches one that no matter what rough a hand fate has dealt u, u can find a way thru it.
someone's struggle is more important to me than labels. | |

I could tell you a few things he did over dinner that creeped me out, like winking incessently at me, but the clincher was when he told me that he was rich and had a nine incher.....there's more but I think you got the point....OMG!!! LOL!!! Okay, here's more....trying to leave as gracefully as possible and pecking him on both cheeks to say goodbye, he grabbed my hand and _____________. OMG!!! I guess he wanted me to know he was not a liar. As I left the parking lot of that resto, I preceded to turn left instead of right and drove 40 miles in the wrong direction before realizing where I was actually going. There are more things about that evening too.....I'll spare myself further embarassment. Yes, I met him online. | |

I didn't go running out, but let him know that I felt he should give himself more time before seriously entering the dating world...

He seemed to be having trouble sitting still, couldn't look me in the eye and getting him to talk was like pulling teeth. This lasted all of about 15 minutes. The next day I received an email from him. He proceeded to inform me that he was gay and hadn't been with a woman in a long. THEN he asked me if I would have anal sex with him. This was definitly information (aside from his behavior the night before) that has made me RUN, and I never run, lol | |
