Posted: 6/3/2007 2:31:21 PM | What would send me running.......I asked this guy how many kids he had, he said " well i have 3 but I only see one, I gave up my access rights to the last 2 cuz I just dont have time for them, I only see my oldest one because I only have time for him."...what kind of person woud do that?
Another one, when the phone doesnt stop ringing, says,"oh that's my ex girlfriend stalking me, but I have to answer it just incase." ...incase what?? | |

I am both and I am 61 years old.
1. I am retired military and Federal Service
2. What I was assigned to do while I was working in the military and the feds would not have been good for the relationship. I was gone ALL the time. | |

I didn't fail at my marriage, he failed at being sober ...
so, I would have to say, seeing or hearing about a drinking problem.. as in way too many drinks in the short time we meet, would definately send me running.
Fortunately I have not had any dates say or do anything to make me run... so far I guess!! | |

A poster a couple pages back said what would send him running is someone who had never been married. This opinion is one i have heard many times on here.It seems really stupid to judge someone as undateable because they have made the wise decision not to get married too young. | |

One guy cried on our date when I asked him about his home town (he got into the Oklahoma City bombing and 911 and for 45 minutes, he was all teary).
One guy lied about his height (he was 4' 9"!)
I held the door open for him (subconscious instinct?) and he walked UNDER my arm.
One guy had a real problem with gas and would also "hock luggies" while driving and when we walked into the restaurant.
The last guy didn't want to say "good night" and kept taking my head and putting it on his shoulder, patting it and telling me he'd love to stay and cuddle with me!
Egads, it is a miracle that I am still open to dating, LoL. | |

* When a date brings up marriage only month after meeting you
* They say "I love you" a lot, and it mostly means "I want to have sex with you"
* Poor listening skills
* They push the issue of wanting you to move in with them, and their place is a pigsty
There's more that will echo what everyone else has said, but they all would stop me cold in my tracks and make me want to run like crazy. | |

4.my ex and i just broke up and i am 2 months over due.

While I wouldn't start sprinting, I'm definitely walking away when a woman reveals the many TV shows she follows religiously-24, Lost, Missing, Misplaced, CSI, CSI-SVU, CSI-Miami, CSI-Dubuque Bovine Necropsy Unit, Dancing w/ the Stars, American Idol, American Idle, House, ER, Surgical Closet,...
And the one that says I watch a lot of TV but only PBS, History Channel, Discovery, Learning Channel, Animal Planet.
The content of any half hour program on those channels can be had by reading a 5 minute synopsis. So you're wasting only 83% of the time the entertainment junkies do.
I met a woman that watched 3 hours of TV a night but had "absolutely no time to read anymore."
and another that only read books that had been made into movies she'd already seen. | |

She started to tell me about her stalker ex-husband who had her therapist concerned enough for her and her kids to convince them to relocate from Arizona to Texas.
As she is telling me all about the things her creepy ex did, I am nervously scanning the restaurant to see if any guys are paying too much attention to her and I. Jeez, how does one decide it is appropiate to bring something like this up the first time you meet? I mean really, frighteningly bizarre story after story about her ex. Quickly finished up my meal and asked for the bill as I had somewhere else I needed to be. As in anywhere but there with her. | |
