I do agree that "your shouldn't have to sell your soul" to get someone to quit trying to "change" you to meet their goals of what "the perfect man" should be.... (In fact I 100% support you on it) I usually tell women like that the perfect man they're looking for is gonna take alot of batteries   
Theres lotsa women out there that the "no shaving at the hellfire missile launcher" won't bother a bit.... for the onez that demand it.... send em my way

Posted: 7/4/2008 6:54:25 PM | You know, pubic hair used to never be an issue decades ago. Somehow people had sex, even oral sex, believe it or not, without complaining of getting hair in their teeth. Now, thanks to porn, society is trained to think that bald is better, cleaner, more enjoyable, etc. As for me, whenever I get the feeling that something is more or less mandatory, then I balk and won't do it. So if a man demanded of me that I shave 'that $hit', I wouldn't. I'd get rid of him. I hate it when people demand stuff of their partners.

LOL...aren't you just the cutest thing? What don't you get baby? That for some people, shaving themselves completely bald is a turn on, or that not shaving at all and letting Mother Nature do her thing is a turn on?
I've dated both...shaved and not. I have to agree with another poster who said that people were going down before the advent of "shaving your pubes" and you didn't hear the "I got hair in my teeth" complaint. I think most people just shrugged it off.

I guess pubic hair has never been an issue with me. I'm not saying I prefer it or don't prefer it, it's just never been part of any preference with me.

OP, watching your posts go from militant to accepting is cool. Nobody ever even suggested I shave; I shave because I want to; and I've never had my masculinity questioned. It's also not a porn, or fashion, thing. I shave because the sensation of touch is so much more enhanced, whether it's with fingers, tongues, or feathers; things will drive you nuts (no pun intended) that you couldn't even feel if you had hair. I'm with you on the "demand" thing though. The fastest way to assure I will NOT do something, is to demand that I do it. As far the as pubes go, they're on you dude. You can obviously do what you want, but I would suggest maybe shaving them, or trimming them up real close, seeing how much different the sensation is when they were being "attended to", and make up your mind from there.

it's not for me to comment upon anyone else's pubic hair. i have way other priorities on my list of meetups. however, i will say about seven years ago, when this new "fad" was brought to my attention by my kids and confirmed by their physician that indeed this was the new "way to go", i was horrified.
in my generation, this meant going to another country and meeting a prostitute who tried to look like a little girl! it was a definite no no. trimming was one thing, shaving all off was another. well, i 've learned that all this has changed. and for some, there are "practical" reasons. i was lectured "on the topic" by a few male buddies. we were supposed to be in an al anon meeting, but we cheated as they thought it was so funny that my eyes almost popped out of my head. at that time, about three years ago, it was conclued that the guys were 5o=5o on this topic! i think it varies by age, purpose, ethnicity, et al. they were all in their 30's and 40's. oh, to be young again....they were too funny!
it sounds like you were hurt by this woman or maybe had really poor communication. i have learned we can only work on ourselves and look good for ourselves. so, i hope your pubic hair focus group has led you to where you need to be. i do hope you trim the toe nails. ... just joking. ...well, maybe not. i think overall women like a man to take care of himself. that has as wide a latitude as it does with women. not every man likes a made up woman. some, however, think nothing of fake boobs. it varies.
given you more important concern, just be sure "the next one" likes dogs. to me, that is a way more important requirement. | |

Let's face it, if guys tried to _understand_ what women wanted instead of just saying, for example, ``What the hell, I'd rather get laid and receive more and longer BJ's than worry about a patch of hair nobody but me wants to see,'' guys wouldn't live long enough to get laid. If I get more mileage out of shaving it, what the hell do I care about a patch of hair that hurts if it gets caught in a zipper? | |

they EXPECT their men to be shaved or trimmed just like them.

^^ that is correct,,,to a point. You dont HAVE to change and some wont.
Who cares where it started whether it was porn, or just someone bored one day and decided to rebel and shave all their pubes off and inadvertantly started a trend! Doesnt matter. What does matter is....that it is soooooooo much nicer with it off,,or off in certain areas only (top very shortly trimmed, bottom part shaved). For those of you that are hanging on to all that hair ~ wouldnt it be kinda nice that your lovers dont have to stop every few secs to remove the hair out of their mouths (both genders)??
Im personally not a fan of the total bald look. A nice VERY short trim on the top (those long hairs tickle the nose lol), and smooth on the bottom (yes guys, that means shave yer boys! lol)
