| ok this one is what will make YOU all smile today
Posted: 4/12/2008 4:10:28 AM | actually this is for the past few days....after helping the gentleman friend that i was talking about he and i continued to talk up until last nite. he couldn't take the bs with his ex girlfriend anymore and decided to take her back for the 100th time. when he called me and told me that he was taking her back and asked me if i can bear with him and wait for her to break up with him again i ended up telling him that he's an a$$hole for putting himself though the hell she's been putting him through. i reminded him about "rabbit stew" from fatal attraction which is the same exact way she was acting. anyway, i didn't appreciate my being outspoken and telling him the truth so he hung up the phone on me. his ex girlfriend sent me 3 nasty emails and called my house phone as well so apparently i'm not done with her yet.
geez, does he think that i'm a fool and going to wait on the back burners for her to leave him again only to keep him from starting anything new with anyone else?
other than that.....i went to sleep around 12:30am and woke up at 3am, laid in bed just staring at the ceiling. well at 5am i decided to get my butt out of bed and make the pepper steak that i was debating on making. that's done and cooling now i have to see if i have white rice so i can make my stuffed peppers. i'm going to freeze everything in separate containers that way i have dinners ready. | |

Posted: 4/15/2008 6:54:16 PM | i'm rich! i'm rich! woohoo, i found myself a mini gold mind....fool's gold that is, or at least i think it is. i was sitting out on the ground putting the light bulbs in the landscape lights in the front of my yard and kept finding small pieces of gold. last year i showed my younger son fool's gold on coal (anthracite) and he thought it looked so cool. the anthracite had what appeared to be gold dust all over. the pieces i've been finding are thin but anywhere from 1/16"-3/8" in size. i guess my dog led the rainbow to my yard when she went away on me.
today, for dinner, even though i didn't have rice (i wasn't able to make my stuffed peppers the other morning since i didn't have rice) i still had pepper steak for dinner tonite. boy did that taste good, i haven't had that in a long time. | |

Posted: 4/19/2008 12:33:58 AM | ok, what made me smile this morning is pretty much being happy for not being able to sleep.
i finally shut my computer down around 1:30am so i can try to get some sleep. mom's coming up here sometime in the morning and i have a load of wash to do before she gets here. anyway, i went in to lay down to try to get some rest and dang it, less than a half hour later, as usual i had to make a potty run...lol. anyway, it's a force of habit to look out the bathroom window after washing my hands to make sure all's well outside but low and behold it wasn't. i seen an orange glow in the sky with smoke. being curious as to what it was and where it was i threw my sweatpants back on to take a walk to the main entrance of the trailer park. the glow looked brighter so i walked over towards the office. what normally looks dark in the woods had an orange glow to it. even though my nose is out of whack i smelled a strange odor from the smoke and i was listening to see if i can hear wood crackling and i did. i walked back down to my trailer, turned on the lamp and called 911. when the operator asked me where's my emergency i told him that it's up in the woods above the cornfields at breisch & farmers roads. i told him that i never seen a brush fire at nite so i really don't know what they look like so i asked him if he can have someone check it out and call it in as a possible brush fire. as i was walking back up to breisch rd the alarm went off. wow! (i thought to myself), a lot of people are going to be p*ssed at me if it's nothing. well, first my neighbor left the park with his blue light on (he's fire police), then came another neighbor in the park driving the ambulance, then the fire trucks with only the driver, then the volunteers in their cars. next came some guy (another volunteer) that stopped me and i was talking to him. a few minutes later he decided to take a ride down to see if i was right. while he went down to the rest of the trucks shenandoah heights vol. fire came over the mountain (i seen the lights as they were coming down) then around with the ringtown vol. fire co. the man i was talking to told me that i called it. he told me thank god i was awake and caught the fire before it spread too bad or got completely out of control. he told me that it was an odd shape (from what he heard) that it was the shape of a horse shoe. well, it's 3:30am now and to my knowledge the fire is out.
what made me happy? normally i complain about not being able to sleep but this morning i have a reason not to complain. i can only hope that there wasn't too much damage done up in the woods. i don't want to see any birds, deer, and bear being homeless.....but then again, the bear and deer can always come here, i'll feed them.

Posted: 4/25/2008 1:45:18 PM | Because it's Friday, the sun's shining, and I have a great rockin' weekend to look forward to--going to Cleveland to see my favorite David Bowie tribute band tomorrow, then coming back home to catch "Jesus Christ Superstar" on Sunday. Can't wait!!

Posted: 4/25/2008 5:42:37 PM | what made me happy was being able to convince my neighbor russ into taking a 4 mile walk with me. he's been really depressed for the past few months since he had to have his dog put down. he's not much of a walker since he has a bad back and knee and a mile is a far walk for him......but it was nice to see him smile once again with being outside, walking, talking, and enjoying the scenery.
now, tomorrow......i'm going to combine my 2 walks together and walk in the rain. maybe i should take my umbrella and do a soft shoe act.............i'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain.....lol, i'm sure you know the rest of the song. i just love thinking about walking in the rain...that makes me smile even more. | |

it's nice to start the day off with a smile :)
Getting a warm hug from my daughter makes me
smile and hearing the three sweetest words ever said
I love you Mommy , that just makes me beam when I
hear her say those words to me. Yes a smile is everything.
What made me smile today when I got up and looked in the mirror and
said this is going to be a great day it's Friday and I'm alive and well in fair
health and have the love of my child , family and wonderful friends. Thats
what makes me smile each day!
I'm so blessed in many ways and a new day
dawning always gives me hope and puts a smile on my face. I thank the lord
each day for the many joys he's given me and even with a dreadful diease that
I battle each day I think God I'm alive and that he gives me strength to take it
a step and a day at a time.
I'm a full blown diabetic and been having major issues , runs in my family
and now on insulin it's affecting my hands & eyes and my feet ,
I pray each day that it can maintain and that God
let me live life to the fullest be the best mom , daughter and friend I can be.

playing high school softball and pitching and her team winning and knowing
that she enjoyed the sport of the game and playing with all her heart comming

Posted: 5/7/2008 10:29:44 AM | dang it! this thread keeps getting lost in the closet so i'm bringing it back to the front again where it's easy to see....
okay, what made me happy today was once again taking my 5 mile walk. i wanted to continue on to where i take my 4 mile walk but i had to be home to wait for a phone call from someone special. i also walked up to the cowfarm before i took my walk and seen all 8 babies. i just wanted to take them home with me.
anyway, after leaving the cowfarm and walking down brandonville rd i decided to take a detour and talk to a man about some ground for sale. 4.89 acres for $30k....is that bad? he told me that he would accept a reasonable offer. it's zoned conservation so you can put a house or something there but not a business which is cool with me. i'd have to get it perk tested, a well drilled, a sand mound for the septic, oh and i can't forget the utilities. it's a wooded area right off the road with a creek or stream on the property as well. continuing my walk.....
on brandonville road as you're leaving ringtown, on the right side of the road there's a pond...i seen some really big fish swimming around in there that i never noticed before so i stopped to watch them swim around. walking back around onto farmers rd i always stop at my favorite thinking spot....i was watching the fish swim in that stream as well and just ran off into my own little world. well, i left there and here i am.......back at home.
ooops, i forgot to add this, does anyone want a pesky wood pecker? he keeps pecking on the glass window by my table...i think he wants to come in to keep me company but he'll only fly away on me.
tomorrow after i get back from the dr's, i'm taking my 4 mile walk to see if i see more deer again.
it's just great up here, enjoying the scenery....that nature all around....it's truly peaceful up here and i love it. | |

Posted: 5/9/2008 7:47:44 PM | ok ld...i must have been reading him wrong so dave, please accept my apologies. there was no harm intended i just don't want to see any more bickering from anyone including myself *banging my head on the wall*
with all honesty i would have been smiling if i was able to take my 5 walk today but the rain sort of prevented that but then again, if i had a car i wouldn't have cared too much about my pains and went to pottsville for the walk for cancer. i would have eaten the pain and walked for a good cause (even though i smoke i still had endometrial cancer and my mother is a breast and endometrial cancer survivor as well). i would have been walking around the track in a well lighted area and i would have stayed and kept walking until 3pm saturday and that's a whole lot of walking and i would have loved it....i would have been taking off some weight too. ummm, does anyone wanna pick me up and take me to pottsville memorial stadium and walk with me?
depending on how the weather is i'm going to be spending my mother's day alone but i'm okay. i'll just do what i'm doing now and what i do every nite......crank up the stereo and let the music play! oh, i also might bake my own mother's day cake and have a cake for 1 like i did for my birthday last year.....i was happy to give out cake to some of my neighbors....it gave me something to do
