| What Made You Happy Or Smile Today..?
Posted: 5/21/2008 8:53:43 PM | hmmm, what made me happy and smile today was having to walk to the market to get some groceries. after walking 4 miles from my trailer until 1 miles outside of town i was picked up by 2 guys that i know and they're very handsome pitbull in their purple caddy. actually, it wasn't a caddy but a trash truck. the 2 guys are the trash men that comes here to the park every tuesday morning and talk to me as well. with my foot killing me i wasn't going to turn down the ride. after i left boyers i started my long journey back over the mountain again to get home. walking up the hill to get to the center of town there were 2 guys standing outside and talking. the older man said "this hill is even harder to climb with groceries" and i told him "this is nothing compared to the next hill i have to climb, shenadoah mtn". he said to me "wow, you're walking up there?" i told him "i have to since i live in ringtown and have to get back home". he said "omg, your legs must get really bad with charlie horse cramps by the end of the nite" and i told him "no they don't, i'm used to walking". well, just about at the edge of town at the traffic light at the bottom of the mountain someone pulls over to the curb and asks me if i need a ride over the mountain. well, like i said, my foot was killing me (sprained foot and ankle) so i accepted the ride. it was the younger guy of the 2 that i had passed earlier. the guy gave me a ride all the way home just before it started to rain.
i was very happy for those guys for helping me out. sure i cheated with my walk today but let's see anyone else walk 16 miles on a sprained ankle and foot. oh, did i mention that there's also a bone chip in my foot as well?
something else that made me very happy and smile as well was getting a phone call from a very dear friend of mine. my sister from up north...heather. it was great hearing from her as it is every time she and i talk. she's not really my sister (i'm an only girl) but my very best friend that i met in here and is engaged to another dear friend from in here, richard. it's always a pleasure hearing from richard and or heather, i love them like family and i can't wait to meet them in person. eventually i'm going to make it to london, ontario for a visit and i just can't wait. i can't wait until they come here as well.
ummm, if there are any single fish that would like to grab me out of the pa ponds and take me to london, ontario...you know what to do!
heather, eventually you're gonna hear a knock on the door and a voice saying......."honey, i'm home" you're just gonna have to be ready to catch richard so he doesn't get hurt with the shock of excitement with my visit. | |

well, it's not raining here right now....oooops, there goes that nasty weatherbug alert. looks like i'm gonna be having some t-storms between now and 11pm. anyone up to grabbin a few kiddy fishing lines and casting out in the fishing holes that they call pot holes here in the park? awww dangit they filled them up on me....looks like no fishing for me now all i can do is sit out in the rain, play in the puddles, and maybe do a little soft shoe act.....da-de-da..i'm singing in the rain...just singing in the rain...what a glor---ious feellllling i'm haaapy and gay. oooops.. am i singing out loud again?
i'm sorry.... what makes me happy and smile is to see others happy and smile since i pretty much have nothing else to do.
ooops, i forgot to add....i made a stuffed pepper for dinner last nite and didn't feel like eating so i'm having it tonite for dinner. well, while i was taking it out of the bowl to put on the toaster oven tray thank god i had the bowl with the stuffed pepper right at the tray or it would have made one helluva mess....then i wouldn't have eaten dinner again tonite because i would have been so mad. | |

Posted: 6/30/2008 10:37:52 PM | wow, did i ever have a day late sunday nite into the weee hours of monday morning. some guy in facebook was flirting with me by sending me gifts...i started flirting back with him. well, it turns out that he and i has a mutual friend...my best friend that lives in london, ontario, canada. anyway, what turned out to be innocent flirts started to become more serious flirts. i sent him an email, he didn't reply. i was talking to my best friend and she told me that she's gonna have him get back with me. 11pm sunday nite i received an unexpected phone call....it was mike. he and i talked until 3am monday morning then his phone died. monday morning around 8am i had the best wake up call....it was mike apologizing for his phone dying. we talked briefly then he went back in with is car (he was at the dealer's getting it fixed). the sad thing about today is i missed his call twice....the 1st time i was in the shower and the 2nd time i was 2 trailers over making up cigarettes. i sent him 2 emails and a few more flirts.....i didn't want him to think that i wasn't thinking about him.
hmm, i read in one of the open forums about a man in canada proposing to a woman in georgia (they've been dating, he met her family)......who knows eh? | |

now, what made me smile today was talking to my good friend from up north. a few days ago we were talking on the phone for over 5 hours....ummm, get your minds out of the gutters, there's no sex talk here anyway, we were on the phone for about 2 hours tonite since he had to get up early in the morning to pick up his daughter and take her to girls club....well, he also didn't want to be around a hungry family of raccoons either. we said our good nites and he said he's going to call me again some time monday. | |

friday nite was getting a phone call from someone special from toronto. he means a lot to me and i'm really happy to hear his voice again. geez, i can't wait until i'm financially able to travel i'll see him and my best friends as well as quite a few other friends from ontario, canada.
last nite was seeing some of the wedding pics from my best friends that live in london, ontario. heather looked really beautiful and richard looked rather handsome. i'm glad that they both met in here, fell in love, and are making a new life together.
today, what made me smile today was my parents came up for a quick visit. today is my father's 69th birthday and tuesday is mom's 67th birthday. my parents know and understands about my finances and what ever little thing i make or do for them is appreciated. anyway, i get wood craft magazines in the mail. i cut out the christmas pics and glued them onto cardboard then glued tooth picks on the backs of them. i made little christmas displays for my father's train platform. to make it more christmassy (christmas in july/birthday) i glued cotton balls on a piece of foam then stuck the tooth pick displays through. i told him "happy christmas in july and happy birthday", he told me "you're nuts" i also gave mom some of the pieces of a lilac bush that i dug out and a bunch of those wild orange lilies that you see on the sides of the roads.
it's never how much or little you spend, it's not how big or small.....it's always the thought behind the gift that makes it more sentimental.
okay, i guess i'll be seeing ya after a few days/weeks or what ever. | |

Posted: 8/18/2008 3:10:12 PM | well, i went to the pain management doctor this afternoon...he can't help me for my shoulder since that's up to the orthopedic surgeon which was proven to be not successful, my problem is still the pain going from my neck to my arm including the areas of my shoulder. he decided and i decided as well to have the nerve block done in my neck leading to my arm and shoulder area. hopefully i'm finally going to get some relief.
but that's not it............what actually made me happy today was getting on the scale at the dr's office. the last time i was on a digital scale was last month at my family doctor's office...woohoo! i lost 5 pounds! i've been wanting to lose weight again since i gained a bit too much from the time of the accident and i put my foot down. i started my slimfast diet this week but for the past month i've also been watching my food intake not saying that i eat a lot but it's what i was eating....i wasn't watching my calories with dealing with all of the b.s. in my life and now for the past month the calorie counting has been paying off. the other week i pressed off a pair of jeans that i haven't worn since before the accident...size 6 and i plan on getting back into them..............................and i will!
dieters....if you want to get back into an old pair of jeans...press them and hang them where they can be seen every day, enough to push you into wanting to get back into them then start counting calories and drink plenty of water (natural diaretic) (sp). set a goal and stick to it. | |

Posted: 9/2/2008 3:11:19 PM | single handedly hurt my back with getting rid of my sofa and loveseat....on my own and i mean single handedly. am almost done all of my packing, found a place to store everything for a few months.......now all i need is for someone to help me move everything into the place.....it's not too far from the trailer but unless i have a few pick up trucks it might be some running back and forth. i'm on a deadline by noon wednesday so now i'm only praying that someone is able to help me. what would make me really happy is to be done with everything.
i also made some people laugh with what i said in msn......"free to a good home.....etc" | |
