Sitting in a car seat was the cutest baby, not a care in the world, smiling and picking his nose. I just had to smile. At least he didn't try to eat it. Maybe he was saving it. | |

Posted: 9/18/2008 10:46:33 AM | What made me happy today is finding out that anna go away to the pig roast and away home she works hard on it ever yr. and really looks foward to it. i could not see her missing one. some day miss county girl will be old and gray. in her 90's she be wheeling her self off to that pig roast. now if only i could talk hunter into a bear roast, i rather that bears head be on his lodge wall then in my back yard. and 500 pds of meat would go a long way. ever one try to have a wonderfull day and night | |

Posted: 9/22/2008 8:33:28 PM | what made me happy today was talking to my brother on the phone about taking his ethernet port out of his computer and putting it into mine. his computer crashed on him and he doesn't know why. anyway, now when he comes home he'll be able to go online as well.
also, this weekend made me smile with seeing some new faces at the pig roast. i can't wait until people lets me know about pics so they can be uploaded. | |

Posted: 10/1/2008 6:02:35 PM | | Actual accident report written by a brick layer. "I was almost done for the day when I decided to take the left over bricks off the roof. Being by myself, I tied the rope to the 50 gallon drum off on the ground and went up on the roof. I loaded up the drum and climbed back down the ladder. As I untied the rope, note my weight of 175lbs and loaded drum weight of 250lbs, I proceeded at a rapid pace back up to the roof. About half way up I met the drum, fracturing skull and shoulder. After reaching the top, I got my hand caught in the pulley, breaking three of my fingers. At the same time, the drum hit the ground and the bottom broke out emptying it's contents. Note my weight of 175lbs and the empty drums 25lbs. Falling back down while still holding the rope, I again encounter drum halfway down. Hence broken foot and multiple bruises. As I reached the ground I land on my back on pile of bricks from broken drum. This leaves me with three cracked vertabre. Just when I thought it was over, I look up just in time to see the drum falling back down towards me having let go of the rope. This left me with the five broken ribs." | |

Posted: 10/8/2008 9:31:03 PM | during the afternoon hours on wednesday mom was talking to my big brother's girlfriend, we were all talking about food and stuff for their wedding and how mom and i would like to help make the favors and food. i told dawn that i would find out about the hall for her (did that), call about the dj (left 2 messages with will), and still have to check in about a video-grapher. i also called stock's bakery in the port richmond section of philly (we've dealt with them for years) about emailing me some of the wedding cake pics for butch and dawn to choose from.
on our way to dinner mom said something about my brother telling her how i just jumped right on in and took over the responsibility of being a bridesmaid. dawn misunderstood and thought that i said about being a bridesmaid in their wedding and i never said any such thing (mom heard the entire conversation between dawn and i on the phone).
sometime around midnite mom called me into her room. she's talking to my brother on the phone as well as dawn and they both wanted to know if i would be in their wedding. i wasn't planning on being in the wedding and couldn't dare turn my big brother down on his offer. i never thought he would actually talk about getting married since last year he was in here trying to find a girlfriend.......when unknown to him, his future wife was just a phone call away....my stb ex husband's ex girlfriend is now my future sister in law.
sooooo, what made me happy today happened after midnite when i was asked to be in my big brother's wedding.
ummm, now i have to find a date as well. i just hope that my date wouldn't mind me walking with another man. | |

Posted: 10/16/2008 11:02:36 AM | ummm, let's see...........2 calls to my attorney on tuesday with no return phone call, 2 calls on wednesday again with no return calls, and called my attorney again this morning.......woohoo he finally filed the lawsuit! he told me that now they're going to see that we're not playing games. my ex neighbor's insurance company kept fighting my attorney telling him that my injuries are not serious and the azzhole that t-boned us...his insurance company was talking to my attorney then dropped of the face of the earth. some of you already know, it's going on 23 months since the car accident and statute of limitations for an mva is 2 years. my attorney also knows not to settle for anything without consulting me first and if i don't agree with them then it will go in front of a judge (and jury if needed). the judge would have to decide with the proof with pictures and stuff that i have as well as medical reports.
wow, i can use a stiff drink now after finding out the news... | |

Posted: 10/20/2008 5:39:39 PM | 2 things made me smile today....the first thing was mom having her first dialysis treatment. she's having another done tuesday then wednesday and starting next week it's monday, wednesday, and friday. the dr wasn't going to start it as of right now but he decided to start the treatments before she gets any sicker. she's fighting to stay alive but my future sister in law doesn't think that she's going to make another year.....not with everything wrong with her. mom told me that she feels okay, just tired.
another thing that made me happy today was meeting up with someone for a breakfast date. he came her to the house to pick me up. we were going to go to the pioneer diner but he decided to go to the iron skillet (petro truck stop) for our breakfast. he and i have been talking off and on for 2 years and we finally met for the 1st time in person. he's a very nice guy and i would like to see him again. umm, he mentioned about meeting again as well when he's able to. | |

what made me happy or smile today so far was nothing really. i read and replied to an email from someone that is a real sweetheart.
the other day someone in here made me happy by helping me out when my comp was in the shop and relaying a message to someone.
ummm, got the decorating done outside, just need to get some replacement bulbs, extension cords and power strips so they're up and running for turkey day. i need to get batteries for my digital camera so i can take pics of the yard. i love the winter with the snow, christmas with the music and the lights.....the only thing missing is being able to be with that special someone on a cold winter's night....maybe even a kiss or 2 under the mistletoe.
today it's warming up and supposed to be in the low 60's for the rest of the week.....be prepared for the winter since we're going to get slammed and slammed hard.

(with pointer finger to temple) ummm i didn't take a walk today since it rained all day long........that didn't make me happy, sitting in the house all day.......nope, that didn't make me happy either, not having anything to laugh about.........nope, no smiles here. oh, wait a minute.............something that made me laugh and smile was actually hearing the song play on my cell phone while it rang. in one of the posts one of the members mentioned about making a squirrel call and taking advantage of my number being posted by another member..............well, i got my squirrel call. ummm, j, it was nice to hear a voice behind the words posted in the forums and emails....now i have to wait to see if he sends me a pic to put with the voice.
it was nice talking to you on the phone. hell, it's always nice to talk to members in here on the phone.........i guess i enjoy talking to people? | |
