Posted: 1/19/2009 2:44:32 PM | ummm, it's not just today, been going on for the past few days (longer for 1 person)....i've been talking to some guy in facebook that remembered me. he and i have been talking via email for about a month off and on and he's been reminding me of some things in my past when i was younger up until high school. wow, i found out that i taught him how to roller skate backwards and that he really liked me a lot.....ummm, he told me that while growing up he actually loved me and told me that i always had a place in his heart and still do. i've also been talking to some of my old classmates from high school as well as a few girls from my old neighborhood. it makes me happy knowing that i remember some of the things from my past just not all. | |

Posted: 6/25/2009 6:55:45 PM | | woohoo, tomorrow and saturday are the carnival nites up here at pocono summit. i've been helping out as much as i can...being the 1 armed bandit as my big brother calls me. one of the p.s.v.f.c. officers asked me if i was going to be there helping out for the carnival and i told her yes. i'm not doing anything anyway and would have been up there to listen to the band. anyway, i was given a fire rescue 33 safety yellow t-shirt. now i have a reason to be at the carnival.....that's what makes me happy | |

Posted: 8/6/2009 11:10:50 PM | hmmm, this is for a few days.....even though i have my ups and downs just as everyone else does i'll let you decide on why i'm smiling still.....
wednesday was my birthday, a big 45...a big whoop-de-do! for the past 3 years i've been baking my own birthday cakes from scratch and giving just about the entire cake to my neighbors at the trailer park........i wasn't able to bake my cake since all of my stuff is packed away. my mom wished me happy birthday then pop did (he seen me 3 hours before mom woke up and didn't say anything). my older son called and wished me happy birthday on my cell phone. i had a dr's appointment on the same day and he's finally going to have my bum knee checked out....i don't need to get hurt, especially if i'm out on a date. thursday i took not 1 walk to the mt. pocono plaze i took 2 walks (limped) to the stores (4 miles each round trip)
it's not 2:11am, i'm finally starting to get tired..............niters y'all!. | |

Posted: 9/15/2009 9:02:37 PM | @dave....sorry for the late post, haven't been in here a lot.....but thank you very much, at least one of my "good" friends in here remembered.
now, what made me happy or smile today? hmm, let's see....i have a really bad sinus migraine so that's not making me smile. my shoulder has been acting up (gonna rain again) so that's not making me smile. hey, i know......2 wks ago thursday i had a nerve block done in my neck where they fried the nerves (nerve damage from the accident) and i haven't had that pain (the nerves were severed when fried), i was able to wash my hair today after getting a perm last friday, oh and i'm now getting 5 hours a nite sleep instead of 2 because of either sleeping on the floor or the recliner....i have a new day bed to sleep on.
now if i can only get my stereo to work again (been left out in the damp weather since my brother didn't want it in his room), my speaker stop going on standby (listening to my christmas music ...lol.), and straighten out the picture thing with my comp then i'll be happy. oh, i'll be happy to be able to start walking again....having my knee scoped on thursday for a torn meniscus and ligament tear. | |

Posted: 9/20/2009 8:05:43 PM | ummm, it was more of a chuckle then a smile with an email that i read....hey guys, is it true that you all only have a 3 second attention span? i'm asking because someone told me about changing my profile around when i didn't ask and said that guys only have a 3 second attention span when it comes to reading the profiles i'm taking it?
a few things made me smile over the weekend....saturday i was doing home therapy with my knee and have it at 45 degrees for the range of motion. just hope that it's not too soon and i'm not pushing it. still have the stitches in it and they'll be coming out in a few days.
something that made me smile today (sunday) was talking to someone on the phone...he and i are going to be talking outside of here to see where things go. we talked before but lost contact. who knows, right?

now, for me, what made me happy today was getting the stitches out of my knee, now i can start the therapy on it and taking my walks again as well. when i was at the ortho i stepped on the scale....woohoo, lost 3 pounds now i'm at 167 the only thing i wish with that is that it stops bouncing from 165 - 170 and starts dropping back down to 130...then i'd be in my glory ...but with my jeans falling off my butt again. what made me smile today was hearing someone special's voice on the phone...he's going to be calling me back around 9 since he doesn't wanna run up my minutes and i don't want him running up his as well.
anything else??? oh, was listening to a rock band video on youtube last nite and posted the link in my face book. they're a canadian band called "floyd factor" that plays pink floyd music. how i came across them is the one guitar player contact me in year book. wow, here i thought rush was the only good group that i know of that came out of canada...i hope these guys make it! now, i might be a country girl and listen to country music but started listening to rock a long time ago...longer than i've been listening to country music.

what made me happy today was starting to paint the 2  that i drew freehand on wood. i'm finished painting my 2 frosty the . my younger son didn't believe that i drew them freehand until he seen the 2 pics that i've also drawn freehand and seen they were bigger than what i copied from. tomorrow: finish painting the then draw the on an even bigger piece of plywood....he's gonna be about 4' tall and 2' wide (chimney). gawd i really need to get a life!  | |
