Curious....has there always been the "next page" option? Pretty cool to see who viewed you like 2 months ago lol
no, it's been there for a couple of weeks now ...
Is there any way of blocking a particular member from viewing your profile
Sorry - No, there isn't short of deleting your account, as mentioned above, then creating a new one, and keeping your profile Hidden from everyone.
Also note, that you cannot clear the list, or reset it, short of deleting your account first, and then creating a new account.

I want to block someone on here and I cannot do so..I want them to have no access to the things i write in the forum and i do NOT want them having access to pof profile and the information I provide there yet your blocking system doesn not do that, all it does is block them from emailing me but they can still read what i write in the forums and they can still view my profile that disturbs me..facebook allows you to block someone from viewing your profile AS WELL it blocks them from seeing anything you write anywhere on facebook..if they can do this on facebook im sure its possible for you to do so as well i would appreciate you implementing this policy on pof because i feel i cannot be free to express myself if i fear certain people might see what i write please get back to me and let me know if this is a possiblity to create on pof because im contemplating deleting my account due to not being able to keep it private from certain people, thanks | |

It's not necessary to be logged in to the site in order to read the forums or to view any profiles that aren't hidden, so it would be impossible to do what you're asking. Even if someone was barred from looking at your stuff while they're logged in, they'd still be able to do it while logged out. | |

Posted: 6/14/2009 2:23:39 PM | whoever it is who insists that i have viewed their profile multiple times and resorted to "counter" harassment, please read this thread- CAREFULLY, as there are some 3,4, and even 5 syllable words.. pay special attention to the part that says: "SOME people ERRONEOUSLY (it means "wrong-ly") think they are being viewed again and again, because a given User is repetitively showing up on the very top Row of his/her Thumbnail Images simply because that User logs into his/her E-Mail again and again."
yes, i leave my computer on almost all of the time, and i receive a lot of emails, therefore i appear frequently in the top row labeled:
"The following SINGLE ROW OF USERS, are users who viewed you at some point, and sorted by when they were last online."
of course, there does exist the possibility that i clicked on your profile more than once, but that simply means that your pics and profile are so indistinguishable from all the others just like them, that i can't remember if i clicked on it already or not. either way, the easiest thing to do would probably be just to get over yourself. . no one is probably stalking you, although i understand your concern.. there are a lot of crazy people out there (obviously!)
...can you believe this individual stole my pics, created a fake profile of me, and begin harassing me for viewing their profile? i know.... so if you spot other profiles out there that look just like mine except that every other word is spelled incorrectly, it's probably best to avoid them.
oh the irony of being called a stalker BY a stalker..

"All Users showing up below this line are sorted by when they last visited your profile."
Using the word LAST leads people to believe that they viewed your profile the LAST time they were on.
I understand how it works now but only because that is what the mods are telling me....but using the word LAST...is what leads people to believe something that is not true...and YES, it is hard to understand when a sentence says something that does not mean what it says.
How can so many people be wrong in their thoughts of how something works? They can't...the wording is bad...take out the word LAST and put "at some point" and it will fix most of the issues.
You would think that the developers of this site would have figured out by now that if something is confusing this many people...then it is time to change it. | |
