| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/8/2007 7:48:28 AM | | Nick.... just because YOU don't remember them (or have a sense of humour) doesn't mean millions of americans and canadians didn't grow up with them, and that this post doesn't bring back fond(le) memories. Thanks for your input..... | |

I did remember them, cause I happen to be "into" US pop culture. But need the OP be reminded that this site and its "global" forums are not just for Americans and Canadians but for all English speaking POFers around the Earth? Thus a small mention of who Ginger and Mary Ann are in the Original Post (eg "female characters/personalities from the cult TV show Giligan's Island") would have been a tad considerate for all other English speakers in here, would it not?
Cheers (although I prefer Frasier, lol)!

| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/8/2007 10:55:08 AM | Point taken nick... although why anybody would want to respond to this thread when they don't KNOW who is being talked about in the first place is beyond me. I could've explained.... but if they don't know they can't very well have a preference now can they... and THAT was the point of the thread. Thanks for your input though! | |

| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/8/2007 8:24:43 PM | | Do we all watch old reruns? Well, probably not....but I had a fun conversation with my boss today..(who is my age)..... We must have fondly listed almost 50 shows we watched from age 3 on........ People around the same age have a close connection in what they used to watch when they were little kids. It's amazing the number of great shows you remember, even though you haven't seen them in over 35 years! It's almost a decent reason to stick with someone at least close to your age...... If you mention a TV show that ended 15 years before they were born.... you may limit a few conversations ...... | |

We both watched them as new/first run shows, not reruns. RIGHT?

| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/9/2007 5:48:17 AM | Elly Mae Clampett beats them all anyway.....

How about Billy Joe, Betty Joe or Bobbie Joe Bradley from Petticoat Junction?

|
| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/9/2007 10:22:27 AM | I usually don't answer when a question is answered with a question but, seeing you're the only one to ask, I will. I'd say I'm 90% Mary Ann, 10% Ginger.
Now... for your answer... :-)

| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/9/2007 10:31:11 AM | Already answered a page back... Mary Ann all the way.. Low maintenance and those little shorts mmm.

@nick .... hogy mersz ijesmit mondanni. Itt nem csak Angolok vannak. Mas is bejohet olvasni amitt akar. (how dare you say such a thing. There are not only English people here. Others can enter and read what they wish) N'est-ca pas? Ce n'est pas une site juste pour les Anglais....

| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/10/2007 5:39:18 PM | | Ginger, because she makes an effort to be sexy. Mary Ann is too perky and disingenuous. Ginger caters to a man's ideals of pleasure. Mary Ann is probably anatomically incorrect, like Barbie Doll. Mrs. Howell is hot just because she is perpetually disoriented. I dig that. | |
|
| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/10/2007 9:10:05 PM | | True "sexiness" requires no effort...... Mary Ann just needed to smile and be nice! Where are these women these days? ( I know... they're there... I'm still looking......) | |

|
| Ginger?? or Mary Ann?? Posted: 6/12/2007 4:56:30 PM | I don't think beauty is any indication of brains. And I'll take beautiful, dumb and honest over the girl next door, overcompensating with her 'great' personality any day.
TRUTH and BEAUTY and SMARTS...my hero!!!
