Posted: 8/4/2008 9:19:08 AM | Ahhh, when I think of all those years I wasted in college studying psychology to learn human behavior as it relates to inter-personal relationships, and all I had to do was learn what happens when Pluto lines up with the moon. I'll never get those years of wasted education back, but at least I still got that lucky platinum mystical charm bracelet to fall back on.
BTW...I'm selling it fairly cheap, since I decided to live on the edge and date regardless of sign (I know - I'm asking for trouble). Posted: 8/5/2008 11:24:22 PM | Well, since we are on the topic of astrology here, I have a question for all the astrologers out there that no one has been able to provide an answer to. Some people have guessed, but no one has ever given a solid answer to. Here's the question:
A woman is pregnant with a due date of say May 10th. On April 10th, the woman is in an accident and an emergency c-section has to be performed. Is the child then a Taurus or an Aries? Why? Does the personality, and hence future of the child change instantly because of the accident, or is it only the due date that counts.

The way it was explained to me is that if you put a burlap bag filled with Wolfbain around the baby's waist and run around a Maple tree 3 times counter-clockwise at midnight on a full moon, the baby's astrology sign will move ahead to the next sign.

Posted: 8/8/2008 10:45:58 PM | Its easy to dismiss astrology, but it is the old science known to man, and like it or not it deserves some credence. Think of it more a seasonal science, in nature you have 4 seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn or Fall, and Winter. Astrology has 4 elements Fire, Earth, Air, Water. 3 of the 4 elements pass thru each season.
For your best match Astrologically speaking, go to the season your element is not in, so in the case of Aries it would be the Winter season, and pick the element that compliments Aries Fire the most. In you case OP it would be Aquarius Air.
I don't personally care if anyone believes this or not, but remember Daffodils grow in the Spring, there's no way they are the same as the Apples that ripen in the Fall. Each to their own I guess.

As an Aries myself, but not a student of astrology, I can only answer based on my own experiences...
I know that I am supposed to get along with Leo, Aquarius, Sagittarius, Gemini, and other Aries. From personal experience, I have found that when I have gone outside of these, I have encountered problems. I have dated Cancer, Capricorn, Scorpio, Taurus, and Virgo just to see (Aries don't like to be told what works for them...they prefer to discover things for themselves...lol). And my conclusion is this: Those that believed that they had figured this out so very, very long ago may have been onto something 
While I am not about to put on my profile that only suitable signs need apply, what the "star charts" say does seem to be applicable...at least in my case. I am the sign of the Ram--independent, impulsive, a fighter for top honors, a believer in doing the right thing as well as protecting the rights of others, and determined to follow my dreams and help you to follow yours. I am a fire sign (for sure) and need someone to either share my passions (another Aries or Leo) or or temper my excesses (Sagittarius, Gemini, Aquarius).
The best thing to do, OP, since you are so young, is to take your time and date various types of signs--you will learn over time which one is best for you 
Anyway...take care--and good luck finding that "right" no matter what the the person's sign might be....

There are a couple things in that sentence I don't get. First of all, astrology isn't a "science", it's a superstition. That's NOT my opinion, that's just fact based on definition. (Actually the oldest science would be related to "fire").
Webster's defines astrology partially as: "knowledge covering general truths of the operation of general laws, esp. as obtained and tested through scientific method [and] concerned with the physical world."
There are no general truths that the alignment of planets have any effect on a persons life, personality, or future, and although astrology can be tested using scientific means, every (reputable) test done showed astrology to be no more accurate than picking a slip of paper out out of a barrell with a description that a person feels is "just like them".
Secondly, just because astrology has been around a long time, why would that mean it deserves any "credence"? Torture has been around for centuries. Do you give credence to that just because it's "been around a long time"? What about burning "Witches" at the stake? That was pretty popular a while back.
In college, we had a psyhchology professor that tried an "experiment" with the class of 61 students on the first day. He had everybody write down detailed information about their date of birth, time of birth, and a few questions reagding whether they were born on their due date or early/late. The following week he hand us each a 2 page detailed astrological analysis about our personality based on the information we gave. He then asked for a show of hands on how many people felt it was extremely accurate, very accurate, somewhat accurate, or not very accurate.
Over 50 of the 61 students said the report was "extremely accurate", 8 said "very accurate" and only a couple said it was too general to comment.
The professor then told us that we all got the exact same printout. Needless to say we all learned a good lesson that human traits are very similar no matter when you were born, and people see things they realize about themselves in everything they read that's put in a general way. (Not to mention we were all a little embarrassed.) I've heard of other teachers doing this same "experiment" all with similar results.
If an astrologer gives me a reading and tells me that on the following Wednesday, a red-headed woman will slip in a mall right next to me and break her arm and it happens, I'll be a believer! Chances are the reading would be more like, "Wednesday will be a good day for you, money issues will be on your mind at some point, and you will pass a stranger you find attractive." That pretty much describes every day. Oh, and my lucky numbers will be 5,11,21,24,36. (I'll be really pissed if those numbers come in tonight!) | |

I would say from my experiances Aries go very well with sagataires,leo and Aquirours. thats getting on with them in bed and in compatibly. like chatting all night. Also a gemini. but with gemini's it can fade for me. this may be differant with you. In bed and sex. i luvv a cancer girl they are submissive and ejoy lots of sex when ever i want it. and they know how to lust. ive never met another sige that is so sexual in bed and out side of bed. its not offten i met a girl where we go all night every possibla night. but its normaly a cancer.
i dont go near capricors unless they are older then me. older capricorns i get on with well. but caps my age ...NO. Picies and torus signs and dont get on with that well.

She became easily bored and could never stay in one place for very long. At the same time she was adorable, incredibly sexy and as sweet as sugar. Aries are anomalistic. The only signs compatible with Aries are another Aries or possibly a Sagittarian. I am a Cancer and can tell you that Cancer and Aries do not mix.

Posted: 11/22/2008 10:32:10 AM | I'm an Aries. I have Cancer rising, so I'm a little of a "watered down" Aries, but that temper can still flare dangerously!
I dated and loved a Cancer a while back; compatible in lots of areas, not just the bedroom. I've also dated a few Leo's, very nice matches. Sagittarius men can be tough because they're the last sign to marry until very late in life. in fact, if you even breathe "relationship" or "committment" around them, they run for the hills! but - they're very smart, funny, sexy, adventurous and love to try new things in lots of areas. I've also found them to be GREAT listeners and terrific flirts!
you really need your whole chart cast to see what sign would work for you the best. Libra's usually compliment Aries, since they are the opposite sign - 6 months away.
I never dated a guy who was a Virgo, but a sibling of mine is. while we usually get along ok, their pickiness, pathological neatness and rigid mindset is too much for this Aries! of course, being in a romantic relationship might soften some of these characteristics, or make me put up with them better. | |
