Say what you say when it rains Either way, we should drown them on the road The little notes we pass through our eyes

Please don't drown them on the road - let them be. Hey this was worth that other guy taking over the last spot on the page.

You know, John Lennon's were like that too....I was always awestruck...it's like he was dipped in talent at birth or something, to be so good at two creative things...

Here is a white screen as clear as her face.
Thoughts passing as quick as a face on a street.
I imagine my dog sleeping by my feet,
Rain falling on a nearby mountain.
Summer's done its job.
September, sleeping.

This white page falling on a nearby mountain September, sleeping Listen how the old house creaks
Old hunter, with one lame eye Here you are again Back under the stairs with your Milk-door window
One more winter you say? You should walk the halls in a building that wears this white coat!

I should put down my head, go carve a name in a tree?
That is how it is at fifty one, the beginning of a slow march.
I should remember to bring a book. One with poems and holes where I can drop my eyes
‘You don’t have to work hard or suffer to be in paradise’
They were good soldiers.
Do not order them, that is my occupation. Do not ask of their condition. Leave them, in the middle of their own march with their own knife. It is not a knife of hatred.

Two Cruises Up Shelter Valley Road It happened that Each ride took me past the graveyard where my father was smiling
In fact, all along the hillsides of Shelter Valley Road, families of trees were yellow and gold.

| Leaves, and other noises Posted: 10/23/2009 7:04:07 PM | what a lovely image there om.
as for being vague, one of the joys of writing is that it is subject to the interpretation of the audience. i always love to hear it when someone gets a meaning from my words that i didn't anticipate. just revel in the fact that you stir things in your readers.

You were always estrange like the distance between us
I could only believe that it was suppose to mean something
So I didn’t stop to stand over you like a mourning son
In fact, when I drove by I imagined you standing there grinning like you knew how motionless and joyful a distance can be riding a stone up Shelter Valley road
