Cry for Love

On lonely nights
I reason with love
As she too has reason

We are held by time
Patient, impatient
Cheered-on
To edge of dream

But some nights
Not calm of reason
Nor still of poise
Can refuse
Tears of a heart

So I cry
To make way
For love.

Good Morning God

Tis true Lard
I like to sleep in
Tis also true Lard
My face becomes
Two huge lips by morn-in
Especially on my well deserved
Sunday morn-in sleep ins

But, as "God" would have it
I was to be woken up , again
This fine Sunday morn-in
By a messenger from "God"

She was a fine looking messenger, indeed
And she had a little messenger boy with her
Although
He was a quiet little messenger
And he had a really great messengers suit on

Now usually Lard
I'm all ears
When it comes to
A message from "God"
But this morn-in
I was all lips
And it was only after
Oh, about one minute
Did I decide
To suck-in my lips
And let out
A return message
To "God"
After all
They were His messengers

And my morn-in lips spoke
And said
"Do you know what day this is?
This is the day of rest
So I would appreciate it
If you would tell "God"
To stick to His script
And let me have
My day of rest
Which He hath so provided"

Slam!

Tonight,
Stars sparkled in my field
I wanted to touch them
Like a child
Wanting to touch
Blue

Very intriguing lines.

I like the last two poems, too.

Did you know that child-like eyes perceive
the twinkling stars filling the sky with rhythm
in verse, in rhyme we facinate on their existence
do you know that planets do not twinkle?
but hold a steady light distinguishing them
from the children that play around them
in a dancing pulse of the universal dance
ah but oh how bright their light does shine

Shall I compare thee to a bale of hay?
Though art true precious to thon ungulate
Rough hands grabbed you and threw you where you lay
And through the summer heat you sit and wait
Sometimes you glow like honey in sun shine
And when it rains your gold complection dims
And if the mould sets in you doth decline
By the farmer’s whim you're square and trim
By yonder twine you keep from coming frayed
Nor lose the sense of who you truly are
Nor will the equine eat you in the shade
When finally loaded on the railway car
..........So long as we drink milk and cows can see
..........So long as seeds, and farms give life to thee

ok - so I don't know nothin’ about sonnets and stressed syllables but I had fun and Om it's all your fault for setting my on this path with your earlier example…. (post 90)

LOL, greengrassofhome, I love it! You are a true wanker. lol, by that I mean, there is a
thread here called, "song of my wank", started by the talented black mary. Have a look
and see, it makes for a good laugh.
love the fish, too. Thanks for posting eh! :)

and af, thanks luv

Cheers rory, glad you picked up on that last stanza.

well, just a wee thought
being the sensitive creature I am, I just want to say thanks to all who came by to lend support and comment. The past year and a half here has been quite the eye-opener. As far as poetry goes, I think my biggest influence has been, bm, and please excuse my sometimes over enthusiastic pink maryness , but all who write here have touched me tremendously. drea, rory, rc, yoko, ra, wooby, blitz, jer, pickles, af, goat, breathing, brizo, n&w, truth, kev, lw, to name a few, anna, jules, messykid, brawny, leaf, marie, cattree, kat, mari, pensky, hm, softe, longte, nat, necro, thorb, polly, lioness, qt, bk, arabqueen, bill, mamatiger, ladypagey and all the angels...the list is long...Thank you all for being you, sharing your writes and friendship. I truly dig the hearts and minds of you poets!
*bows to you all.
Pancakes for everyone...:)

Abstract Non-Objective!

Alas! Oceanic Tribunal,
I come ever and anon,
With palms scraped,
But let me in!

I need the manna!
In order that I may escape
Ukiyoe; return me to
Shunga…immortalize
Me in fresco buon.

I’m a primordial dance
Divine; glazed over trapped
In woodblock carvings….

Artifacts we become;
Posing contrapposto,
As if to say balance has
Embraced us whole.

Return me to the attic!

For

I’m but a found object in
The open wilderness;
Blended in mixed media,
Awaiting God's instillation.

The wailing, the gnashing of false teeth…
Om ??? Gone again when so many support your threads!

Where is the om finally gone?
Did om go home, where is om’s home?
The Out of Om-ees, his trusted tribe
Are not sure where he will tonight reside

So where is Om’s home?
You think when Om
Is here pitching his poem.
That now he is really home?

I dunno, Om didn’t say
He may be here tomorrow
But he went away today
What else can you say

“Om, take these damn pancakes
and shove em” she hinted.
Om, I’m just joking,
Om, It wasn’t that crude
This sweet woman from
West-by-God- Virginia
Surly wouldn’t be rude

She wanted the maple syrup
to be handed over by that man
I really suspect, she...
just wanted to hold his hand

Om is a wanderer I dare to say
I picture him tranquil on the bay
laid back enjoying the view today
Don't we all wish to do that someday

Om has another secret
In his mind I suppose
From sunrise to sunset
Only Om knows

We miss ya!

hi hon, love what you did with my last line, both rune and yourself! Wrote this in reply but someone beat me to it.......so I'll leave it here in appreciation.......

bounty

inspiration to achieve
to leave
or not
sometimes we grieve
for the outer shell
and make life hell
when our inner gift
is far more profound
what was lost
is no match
at all
to the reverence of life
we found
cherish the small things
the moments
the persons
the arts
the seasons
of nature
and living
surrounding
abounding

Om...........
Peace abounds within the heart
We live such hell....
we need a part of heaven
occasionally
can find it!
Love abounds
I hear the sound
wanna feel it
not picture it
Good thing
I am a visual person
I can live forever
in my imagination!

The walk

And so we walked
Slow strides of friendship
Breathing in yesterdays
Like a rack of tomorrows

We walked a road
Where the air was free
Form tender
And funny

“Look, there’s a Baltimore!
And I had to come to Baltimore
To see one”

The chipmunk following fence-line
Pausing periodicly
To stand on its hind legs
And laugh
At the entities

We talked about ‘story’
How none of it matters
And how independence
Duels with love

The skies open
Fields waving us on
And the dog
Leading the way
Between friends

And how independence

so true......In my opinion, that is the modern conundrum.......we are moving away from a male dominated society, and deity follows social evolution and consciousness, (and in the ancient past, a female one) to a society of equality (deity will eventually follow). Society is trying to incorporate individual self sufficiency with interdependence.......and I have very great hopes for my fellow humans, led by the new generation.......we will all find our place in the sun, together and individually........

peace on earth, goodwill to men

hope and pray for peace
call upon divinity
you were created in god's like
and carry light within
so light your candle
from the flame
that never dies
never dies
the good within you lies
unclaimed
realize, recognize
and stand against
the sons of Cain

Confusion clouds my mind and eyes
wonder why so many disguise?
What is real, why their here?
Is it really hard to find?
Wonder if the bluebird
sings the song of why?
Does he sit and wonder?
Way up on the branches high?
Does the lovely doe deer
prancing through my yard each day
Wonder why she is here?
Wonder if she should stay?
All of this makes me wonder
human entities wonder?
Are we all not here for the same?
A place to share
a lovely while
Not to wonder why........
or even if.........
we should stay............
No , just don't think!
It is a plan.......
we have no other choice
the choice is in our ways
our thoughts
Simply enjoying what you have
living each day.......
without so much dread
Who is to know what may befall us
As a wild animal........we have no choice
I think they really have no thought
of what or why....
or maybe not!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think we all think , just too damn much!
Lest we smile more.........
like the bluebird.....or the doe!
Just a thought of mine!
We may be feeling...............
better than , FINE!
