For a man, it's a hobby.
For a woman, it's expected.
It's like saying that you want to have sex in a relationship.
Can we spell OVERKILL?

id agree - I see shopping as a military exercise .
i go shopping with an exact target in mind i.e a list of food i need or clothes i require.
i hit the shops get those items and aim to be in and out within ten minutes

Jmallett, I'm plenty open minded. However, when you meet / talk to self proclaimed shopaholics that HAVE to buy something just to feel good, then it's pretty hard to overlook.

Here's a question. How many of you women have more than one pair of shoes or items of clothing that have never been worn or still have the price tags?

I'm as girly as they come and I HATE shopping. I get what I need and get the hell out of there!

And I don't spend 2 hours in the bathroom getting ready to go out, only then to put on my mascara in the car on the way.

Shopping as a hobby...if I was a guy I would run away, too.

Ok, I do love shoes.

But I don't spend $400 on one pair, and I'd rather be barefoot anyway.

I went to CANADIAN TIRE to get a piece for my lawnmower.
It wasn't too bad today.....it only took me about 35 minutes to find someone to help me out, only to have him tell me that the piece is out of stock. As far as I'M CONCERNED...... some of these guys that work there don't even know WHAT A RAKE is ......AND SHOULDN'T BE WORKING IN A HARDWARE STORE.

john,
Was at canadian tire the other day was looking for a particular lure.
Half the store was inaccessible. the manager said well........ we are under staffed. The isle i needed was blocked on both ends by very large boxes......... and it was an isle with a stock computer in it....... 5 minutes earlier there were 2 staffers standing there joking with each other, yet they climbed over the boxes and left them..
I looked at him and said yeah so is half of alberta, we manage to keep the businesses running smoothly.

I got so annoyed with him, I dropped my purchases in his hands and walked out with my son.
Too many companies are using the "employee shortage" not to keep things upto snuff.
