Ok, I would be a new person. Are you are friendly bunch? Is at least one or two of you friendly? Love karaoke and would love just a night out.

| Birthday Karaoke at the Groundhog Pub, Downtown Toronto - July 21, 2007 Posted: 7/20/2007 5:43:55 PM | | There's always room for more! Karaoke was my first event and it was a good "ice breaker". An even better way to get to know people is to see if anyone is going to be arriving early to have a bite to eat before the singing starts... it's much easier to break the ice with a few people first than it is to face a full bar hours into the night. | |

| Birthday Karaoke at the Groundhog Pub, Downtown Toronto - July 21, 2007 Posted: 7/20/2007 6:57:44 PM | hehehehe.... as a last-minute lark, I sent out a mass e-vite to everyone who had signed up, everyone who lives within 10 miles of the Groundhog, and everyone who had attended an event there in the past. I've been having fun all night watching my "Viewed Me" list.... the message went out to 680 people, and I don't think the same 30 people have been on the list for more than a half hour or so, lol.
This time tonight, this should be me and Gannon...

Joe is the man, for starting this all off :P if you wanna make friends, THIS is definatly the place to do it. you may even wind up fishing here too!

| Birthday Karaoke at the Groundhog Pub, Downtown Toronto - July 21, 2007 Posted: 7/20/2007 11:54:36 PM | | This sounds rather interesting. I will try to come to this event, as I love karaoke. At the same time, my band's keyboardist's father's birthday party is the same night....Will come out here after there....probably like 9:30 or so. Does it cost anything? | |

Nope. No cover whatsoever at the Groundhog.

It's playing havoc with my "Viewed Me" page, though. I can't tell who has been viewing my profile out of a genuine interest / curiosity about me and who's been viewing it just to judge the party based on the guy hosting it.

| Birthday Karaoke at the Groundhog Pub, Downtown Toronto - July 21, 2007 Posted: 7/21/2007 11:45:50 PM | Sky_, I'm sorry if you didn't have a good time.
For me, it was what it was. An opportunity to get out and meet a few people and see to it my friend had a memorable birthday. (I know I promised NOT to TOTALLY embarass him, but I think we succeeded in at least putting a smile on his face that will be there for a couple of days.
Thanks to all for coming out, to my co-hosts (especially to the birthday boy), and to the staff at the Groundhog for a great time.
A big hello and thanks to Jillian, as well, for the game before I left. I was a LITTLE drunk and VERY tired (been on the go since 9am). Here's hoping for an opportunity for a future rematch.

It was my first PoF event also and I had a great time just laughing and talking with a cool mix of people. Maybe some people came with certain expectations, but I just came to have fun, and I did.
PS, please remind Ganon to water his plant -- or give it to someone who will...
