|
| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/16/2007 10:30:07 AM | A meeting at East Sides, an excellent Idea. I have prior commitment to work early that day, in for a long day. I will offer to help in anyway. I hope you have a successful meeting, and accomplish a great plan.
OH silly me, I work in a bakery, I can bring in fresh rolls, or hot dog or hamburger buns, and can even have the drivers deliver.

| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/17/2007 5:43:36 AM | Well Little Lady. I hope you have a safe and happy trip to Chicago and arrive back in one piece lol. Unfortunettly as you know I am an out of towner from Kitchener, so I don't think I would be able to make it to your meeting at EMM, but I wish you all the luck, and that everything goes as planned. Also if you can Hello to everyone for me. Just a quikie idea here because I have a hard time remembering names. Maybe you can make a necklace tag or something with everyones user name or real name on it?
If you need anymore help I will gladly assist as I want to help make this years party a fun and memorable one for everyone.

| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/17/2007 3:22:33 PM | OMG..Chili that burns going in usually burns twice as much coming back out..I'll pass on the chilli but everything else sounds great..I'll help any way I can lil lady!!
Sorry I didn't read the posts until this evening but I have a couple of games that haven't been mentioned ...a tug-a-war with a pool of water or MUD in the middle.. or 3 legged races?
ummmmmmm someone mentioned perogies or cabbage rolls..?? It's too damn hot and too much work to make perogies or cabbage rolls..lol
Anyways..this sounds like it's gonna be a great time for everyone!!!
Ohhh..if it turns out to be an over night thing..I have sleeping bags but no tent so anyone wanna share?? lol
|
| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/17/2007 9:16:59 PM | | sooooooooooo....how'd the meeting go? I'm planning on bringing something, but just waiting to see what will be needed ~ if you have any suggestions, please let me know | |
|
| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/18/2007 5:21:36 AM | Yeah did the meeting turn out, keep me posted. As in to regards for my chili. I don't make mine that hot, though I didn't say that you won't be making funny sounds the next day either. ?
I just thought of this, but is there a way to make activities (so people like myself who use wheelchairs), can particippate in events to. Like I saw one event mentioned about a three legged run, and that's cool but I can't participate in that unless the peron who's on my team cheats with me?
I can do any other sport or activity, as long as it doesn't involve walkiing, running, and so on, that's unless you all want to lose to "THE GREATEST" team of all time?

|
| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/18/2007 6:51:00 AM | LOL! That's funny, Justine re: the chili. Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash is now running through my head.
The suggestion of the mud tug of war is great! How fun would that be? I'm just wondering how singles, who want to put our best foot forward will participate? Meeting someone new covered in mud~~is that a good first impression? LOL I don't care, but others might. Will have to see how that one goes over with attendees.
BoogaBear, there will be other activities for you to be involved in. The lot at Chippewa is grassy though so I'm just wondering how/if that will affect you. Things like croquet, bocce and badminton will be on the grass, the volleyball will be on the beach, but I am sure that other things can be moved to the pavement, even lawn darts as they are beanbags. If you have any other concerns just send an email to LittleLady or I and we will do whatever we can so that you will have an enjoyable day with the rest of us.
The meeting went okay, but we only went over some of the basics and logistics. Nothing much more to report. Once the event gets closer maybe LittleLady will have another meeting. One thing that is required is to email your favourites and let them know about the event. Word of mouth really does work wonders and gets the non-forum readers out to the event, even better when they sign up and/or lets LittleLady know what they are bringing.
As for what to bring, there are some suggestions on the first post but some things that were mentioned last night were things like ice and coolers (to keep food cold), munchies (chips, pretzels and the like) or meat/cheese trays. Other than that, something that you enjoy making and won't keep you slaving in the kitchen should be fine.
So now with that out of the way~~let's email and get ready to have some fun celebrating our first anniversary!!
|
| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/18/2007 7:03:32 AM | Sounds rather yummy. I hope that you are bringing your perogie dish and a desserts to the party to and not just for the ESM get together?
Hope to hear from you soon and get to know you before the party is on.
Take care and have a great day!

| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/18/2007 7:15:45 AM | I suggest a watergun fight, and water balloons and sun screen and most of all lets all have a fun, enjoying time.
In reply to Lola: I do have some difficulties on the grass, but nothing that can't stop me there, just may need some help getting to the place where the event is that's all. Now comming to sand that my chair will not work well on, but looking to the bright side. If you or anyone else doesn't mind looking like a drunk fool while they are walking with me, then I can hold on to them and get around that way. Hey there's no better way then to meet someone then in the mud.

I have a 4 man tent that you are more then welcome to use. It fits 2 comfortably, I find 4 is to tight a squish. But then that is just me.....lol ... I'll be using my camper so I will not need a tent.

| Thunder Bay Chippewa, July 21st Posted: 6/19/2007 4:44:12 AM | Hey Toxic Waiste I maybe a newbie here, but I just wanted to say that you don't suck at cooking, all you need is somemore practise and I will be there, and I am sure that there will be other people there that would help you with your cooking skills. I am not the best at cooking either, but keeping a good, strong, positive attitude on things really does help. I am not saying to bring what you want because the chips thing is cool to, and I am sure that we will need extra chips up there for all those "snackables: at the party.
So if you ever want to work on your cooking skills some more, feel free to ask me and whenever I am in town we can work on them and be good friends to.
