Then I would try to figure out why MeloFelo's kids are oblivious to the fact Canadians have Sex.

I think it's because my kids think Canadians spend all their time frolicking with polar bears, right outside their igloos.

SHEESH my kids know I am crazy LOL.....who isn't with 2 teens still at home....my son even calls me a "crazy old woman" sometime ( not in a derogatory (sp) way) LOL Both of them know I have had relationships and of course are not stupid enough to think that all you do is talk when you don't come in until 6am LOL.....I do make a point of leaving a name and phone number at least for first meetings so my daughter doesn't worry. I have always been open with them about sex and although I am 99% sure neither of them has had sex yet they do know where condoms are. I get them from planned parenthood and they are all colors and sorts LOL. I don't give them any details but I don't think they think ewwww! My son and I sometimes get into conversations where my daughter says TMI!!!! but ya gotta learn sometime LOL.....my son brought something up a few weeks ago that isn't fit for posting....I almost LMAO!! So he knows I know about sex.....I had them didn't I?

My kids were telling me just the other day they read in Canadian History book , page 12, chapter 4, because of all the "frolicking" the igloos were melting. Someone said ( and I'm sure it wasn't *Al core* , "lets chop down a few trees" we can nail them together and build a *little pink house for you and me*

Unless he is the president of Argentina, a real man wouldn't live in a pink house. I think the whole global warming myth is something started by Chicken LIttle, so Al Gore would have something to do.

Lmao...Your "Chicken Little" theory is priceless.
It was President John Cougar Melencap who invented "little pink houses"

That's not nearly as impressive as inventing the internet, or teaching the Canadians about sex. Maybe Al Gore could make him vice-president?

In all honesty, if my kids visualized Al Gore having sex with a polar bear in Canaday, they'd say "Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"

My daughter is the one who encouraged me to come to POF in the first place. I now found the perfect man for me, and she couldn't be happier! But then, she is an adult now, and mother of 2.....at one time, she would've went "EWWWWWW!"

Congratulations, but your daughter isn't weird. Most people would say "ewwwwww" at the mental picture of Al Gore having sex with a polar bear.

Lol, my kids are finally old enough that they realize I'm human. We've always had a pretty open relationship, and now I'm the one that's sometimes shocked by their "escapades"...they're rarely surprised by anything I do anymore - ah, what happened to the good ole days!

Oh my goodness, this thread has me giggling. Igloos, polar bears and Al Gore..what a combination. But this here Canadian could have easily had a few igloos in my back yard this past winter...nothing like 12 foot deep snowbanks. urgh
As for the kids' opinions. I have decided that these years are going to be my teenager years, and what they don't know, can't hurt them. Actually I am not too sure of their response "will" be when a good man finds me..some of them will go "way to go Mom", others will be overprotective, and the last ones will say "it's about time," and then go "ewwwww." The next few years is going to be verdy interesting..lol

[I know exactly what my kids would say! It's the same thing I tell them when they give me TMI! "I'm sending you my Therapy bill!"]

Yes that sounds like mine too..... But sometimes they give me TMI as well......

I think my son-in-law did the best sofar the other day.... "Just don't do anything I have to come to the police station for".

Eww about ? Has that well known internet inventor and environmental scientist, Al Gore, taken his crusade to Australia and started messing with kangaroos now? Or is it about Bill Clinton in a vacuum store, "not having sex with that cleaner"?

Well, at present, I don't have "a warm place to put it" close by, so thinking about Gore and Clinton brings Hilary to mind, and then I think, "it could be worse. I could have THAT waiting for me", and it kills my sex drive for a time. I would think that bringing Al Gore to mind, would do much the same for women.

So THAT'S IT. You've unlocked the secret, at last. Saying "hi" first? I'll have to give it a try, and see how that works.

My kids, having fallen under the evil influences of the comedy team of "Al Gore and Michael Moore", would want to know how my actions are affecting my "carbon footprint", and I'd have to explain to them, all over again, that if I find the right woman, I'll be "hurting the environment" by breeding. :), and incidentally, giving them a half sister or brother, to drive them crazy, when they come to visit.

With their Mother bringing in 3 new stepdaddies during the past 9 years...(and who knows about the others??).... I doubt there is anything that I could do which would shock them whatsoever. sheesh. My life must seem pretty mundane to them, comparitively speaking. I have been single and free from even any kind of live in situation for that entire 9 yrs, and counting.

They like to kid me about my online correspondences, and phone friends...but, I can tell, they are really rooting for me. I am glad to be providing them with a more 'normal' role modeling, and a look at what real romance is all about.

My kids don't want to hear my name and 'sex' in the same sentence! My son (he's 31) just says "too much information Mom" as he's walking away saying "talk to the hand"!! My daughter (she's 36) and I were talking once about sex and I innocently said, "well, I'm still a sexual person, I have sex" and she went "eeewww, now I have to get that image out of my head!!" For crying out loud, how did they think they got here? When their father and I were married they didn't want to think about it then either!!

I can remember thinking about my parents 'doing it' when I was young and it made me cringe. I mean really, "old people" having sex, how icky!

Maybe they thought the polar bear dropped them right outside the igloo? LOL
