There is no such thing as a tomboy who can be a lady. Can you REALLY be that clueless? I have met several women who are BOTH tomboys, and ladies. Some of the best times I have had, have been with this type of woman. How about this for a day. "Hi, I broke my grinder this morning, and I will need it tomorrow. Can you bring yours this evening when you pick me up?" She answers the door later in a drop dead sexy dress and heels, and every inch a lady.
That's like saying show me a dog who can be a cat. ??? You are mixing apples and oranges. However, an orange can be both juice, AND sherbert.
I am a long haired trucker, but I CAN, and have, put on a tux, and mingled with the rich and famous. Please dont attempt to force the limitations you place on your life, onto others.

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 2/8/2009 6:20:02 AM | | I'v ehad my fair share of tomboys. Ladies that wore no makeup at all-havent wore a dress in ova ten years-sports loving-crotch grabbin-aggressive females.I love em all the same-the only problem is while arguing they wanna really fight. I think tomboys are cool because its like there one of the guys-they can mask their feelings like one of the guys-but when its on sexually they can charge for what they want-its kinda sexy. Although i like tomboys-i need for a woman to act like a lady some of the time. No i dont wanna watch the game with u-and see who can fart the loudest. No i dont want to arm wrestle a lady im dating. Its nice to see a curvy female in a dress instead of sweats. | |

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 3/23/2009 10:13:07 AM | Being a tomboy myself, it's great seeing some of these latest replies! LOL Thank goodness! I can now go burn those damn dresses!!!!
Ok.. now that I have that out of my system.... Hi everyone... my name is sidewinder.. and i"m a tomboy. thank you...thank you... I've been a tomboy now for.....38 years.
Seriously though, I've never had a problem with finding dates because of my lack of feminism. I can be feminine when it's warranted, like going out someplace really nice or meeting the parents or company picnic type thing or even one on one in the bedroom. But I'll take a t shirt and pj pants in a hot second over all that!! I've never had a problem with it and I've never had a guy have a problem with it. I think this would have been much more an issue about 30 or 40 years ago or amongst different generations.
Ok... off to find the lighter fluid.... anyone wanna strike the first match???

Just because I can change my own oil in my car......trim my own trees....dig my own pond....own my own camper....love to fish.....till my own garden...cheer as loud for the Colts as the guys...and drink whiskey with the best of 'em..... doesn't mean I can't put on a dress and makeup and bat my eyelashes with the best of 'em! It also doesn't mean I don't crave affection and tender moments like the "girly girls" nor should I be treated like a tramp just because I sometimes have dirt under my fingernails!

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 3/30/2009 1:22:21 PM | | I don't have a specific answer to the question as I have nothing against tomboys but the issue leaves me cold because of the unbelievable double standard. Women can alternate between being tomboys and girly-girl with no problem yet if a man exhibits the slightest "feminine" behavior he's a super weirdo to be condemned and avoided. This strikes me as bizarre and sad on society's part. | |

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 3/30/2009 3:19:09 PM | I'm greedy. I want the best of both worlds!
I like women with long hair. That's not a prerequisite by any means, but if you have it long, please take care of it. I also like soft hands and pretty fingernails - maybe even painted on special occasions. I like women who can clean up well - put on makeup, wear a dress and high heels, etc.
On the other hand, I like when a woman can get her hands dirty and enjoy hiking or camping, gardening or home improvement projects. She doesn't have to be able to beat me at arm wrestling, but I'd be fine with her being able to bodily pick me up - that might be fun. However, I must be able to pick HER up! It's important for a woman t feel comfortable enough around me to wear t-shirts and sweats and not feel like she needs an hour to be presentable no matter what the occasion.
If I temporarily buy into the false dichotomy of lady vs. tomboy - I don't want a tomboy when we're out for a fine dinner and dancing, and the only place I don't want a lady is in the bedroom.
It seems like a couple decades ago, women were looking for men who were in touch with their feminine sides. I hope we're not getting to the point where it will be hard to find women in touch with their feminine sides!

Posted: 3/30/2009 4:16:00 PM | multi faceted women, someone who can dress up in ribbons and curls and act like a lady, as well as running around in blue jeans and a pony tail telling jokes that could make your friends blush. -i had a girlfriend who had a dressy office job, then on the weekends, slid on her cowboy boots to ride her horse. she would ask me to help her get hay for her horse. driving her brothers old beat up farm truck, watching her getting all sweaty with the hay bales, -playing in the barn is soooooo sexy -if you know what i mean...

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 3/30/2009 7:46:55 PM | | I'd actually prefer a tomboy in most cases. Most of my hobbies are active or related to the outdoors, so it seems to work out a bit better. | |

| Would you date a Tomboy ? Posted: 3/30/2009 8:47:02 PM | Tomboy. That's me. Know when to be a wild sexual woman and when to be a lady. And a Tomboy is often the anywhere/place/type woman who also isn't a high maintenance woman. We like a hotel and we like a pup tent. We like having the car door opened for us and can also drive a stick shift truck with ease. We like chocolate covered strawberries as well as marshmallows cooked over a camp fire.
Remember the Peggy Lee song I'm A Woman? I can rub & scrub this old house til it's shinin like a dime .... grease the car, & powder my face at the same time ....If you come to me hungry you know I'm gonna fill you full of grits If it's lovin you're likin, I'll kiss you and give you the shiverin' fits.....I can make a dress out of a feed bag and I can make a man out of you.

Tomboys are hawt. they generally show more decisiveness and conviction when making decisions.
call me selfish, but im not looking for a lover when i can have a lover, best friend, drinking buddy, confidant, partner, and (sports) team mate all wraped in one.
